On to Friday, pretty chill. I got into work around 9:30 (weather hours), worked and walked 2 miles during lunch and did back, biceps, shoulder and tricep exercises. After lunch I worked more, then left the office at 3:30, hit up the library, made appts for Reuben (haircut)/Remy (spay) and SUV (oil change). I got home around 5 and cooked more - duh! I had two more chicken recipes to make and couldn't wait!! Here is one of the ones I made:
Recipe adapted from Mary Ellen's Cooking Creations
Makes 4 Servings

After dinner we had a few beers then settled in for some Kinect bowling - it's SO fun! I think I bowled like a 156 or something - awesome!! I think my favorite part is the little videos it shows of you bowling - hilarious! We also tried some track and field - I'm not a huge fan. After game playing it was time for bed - wonderful Friday, although it felt like Wednesday.
Q: Have you tried Kinect yet? I really like it! Can't wait for Mary T to bring over her dancing game next weekend!
Q: Are you a fan of Chinese food? I can't get enough - i'm always trying to find yummy Asian-inspired dishes to replace my take-out cravings!
Love Chinese food! I grew up eating a lot of it for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI love Chinese food....all types of Asian food for that matter. Great looking recipe!
ReplyDeleteI've never tried Kinect before...actually I've never even heard of it! :)
When I was growing up, I thought Chinese food was disgusting. It's probably because it was the madre's fav and I couldn't be like her ;). Now I lurve it!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get a Kinect when Ryan get's home! I WILL be getting the dance game! Have a fabulous weekend!
Is it sad that I have not heard of Kinect??? Glad you finally were able to get in your workouts ;-)
ReplyDeleteHomemade Chinese rocks! I love lightening up the dishes you usually get out. I haven't tried Kinect but it sounds like fun! Enjoy the rest of your weekend
ReplyDeletemmm that dish looks tasty - if it's even half as good as the dish I ate at Mary and Jimmys, I will have to try to make this! Me, you and the boys need to play against each other with the sports game - midweek get together dilemma solved! AND a dance off is definitely in order for next weekend (yes, it seriously has a 'dance off' mode) better practice crankin yo'soldia boy :) i think you'll be slightly obssessed
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried Kinect, but I really want to- it looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteYum love Chinese food! Fortunately my fiance's family immigrated from China when he was 9 years old and his mom is the greatest cook ever. Every weekend is a treat, hot & sour soup, egg rolls, peanut & rice noodle salad....oh my. And lots of rice to haha. Honestly I don't want to sound like a food snob but authentic Chinese is in a league of it's own, Americans don't know what they're missing out lol Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love Chinese from nicer places or at home, but can't stand buffets. They always make me feel sick after. That looks great though!
ReplyDeleteI love Kinect!! I wish I had my own system so I could use it at home!! I've only played it once and I was hooked!!
ReplyDeleteAs for Chinese food- Dim Sum is my faaaaaaaaV! :D
I love chinese food - your recipe looks delish! I want to get Kinect too - just unsure if I will take the time to use it!
ReplyDeleteStop by my blog - I gave you an award!!
