She is now 16 weeks and 3.5 pounds. I haven't gotten to take any pics yet - honestly, we like to wait until the vet gives her a clean bill of health before naming her and getting super attached. So, for now, this is hopefully our new pup and we have a check up tonight. If it goes well, we'll go ahead and get her rabies and bordatella shots (she's already had her distemper and parovirus). If all of that goes well, we have to wait 48 hours before we can get her groomed. She is SO fluffy. It's cute but just too much for me - I want a puppy cut not a showdog cut! Also, silly me said "yes" when asked if I wanted her hair trimmed. I thought trimmed like an inch but she cut it down between her eyes - eek - poor baby! She looks like she got her eyebrows waxed and not in a good way. LOL Baby's first bad haircut! haha So bare with us - and know that i'm SO excited and can't wait to get to know her better. Also, know that Reuben is taking it pretty good. I'm proud of my big boy!
Other than this big news - I've just felt a bit busy and overwhelmed. We were in the car almost all day yesterday going to pick her up and got home at 6:30 and exhausted. We got her and Reuben acclimated, unpacked and pretty much called it a night after a VERY exciting weekend. Thank you for your sweet comments - we really do have SO much fun going to back to our alma mater with our best college friends - TOO must fun, really. :) We feel so lucky to have them - next visit to Auburn? UGA weekend- WOOP WOO!
Q: What should we name her? We are having such a hard time deciding between Cameron, Riley, Aubrey and Remy - help us - poll at top left or leave a comment! :)
Q: How was your Monday? Not going to lie - mine was bad... BOO. Not all bad but bad. Don't even want to relive it to write about it yet. hehe

ReplyDeleteShe is absolutely adorable! Hopefully Reuben helps out with any training and she'll fit right in - congrats! I think any of the names that end in 'y' would be great...not sure why, just always thought cute little pups need little cutesie names, ha. No matter what you decide, I'm sure it will fit her great!

ReplyDeleteOMG so cute! She is super fluffy! And, I love the name Aubrey. You gotta give that shout out to your team. (My parents went to the Super Bowl this past year and adopted a cat while they were there. It was named Breesy after the New Orleans Saints QB.)
