Day 39 & Day 40: Friday, Oct. 10, and Saturday Oct. 11 Assessments

So the weekend was awesome as far as great friends, sweet puppies, good times, etc., but not too good as far as Auburn football (get it together, offense, dang) and food/alcohol. Sigh. I made a concerted effort though – I brought Friday’s dinner, Saturday’s breakfast and lunch and Sunday’s breakfast… not bad! Here’s how it played out…

Friday: For Friday my calories were too high (1,872), my fat was just right (34) and my carbs were just right (188). I actually ate really good – healthy breakfast, smart ones for lunch, healthy sandwich/baked lays for dinner, and 2 100-calorie snacks. I didn’t even drunk eat! I just drank too many calories (I know, imagine that). I drank 738 calories worth, and 40 carbs… DANG. The cirtrus vodka turned out to be higher calorie than I thought- eek – and my friend got me a vodka/red bull – those are super high calorie! At the end of the day though – I was really only 322 over goal and I did get in two miles and I was on vacation so not bad! Here’s What I Ate Today.

Saturday: Saturday was good too! I had the healthy breakfast and lunch I brought (Jimmy Dean d-light & lean cuisine) and for the tailgate a friend ran to Chick-Fil-A for the group. I ordered a grilled chicken salad with fat-free honey mustard! I was proud I didn’t get the sandwich/fries!! So I ended up at 1,834 calories (too high), 41 fat grams (right!) and 166 carbs (right!). I will say I splurged! My friend Jimmy’s mom made buckeyes (i.e. chocolate covered peanut butter balls – INSANE). I only let myself have two…. It was SO good, too!! (worth the 200 calories? Probably!!) My alcohol was only 492 this time… mostly because of the amazing, amazing Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka!!!! I mean – it’s amazing. I felt like I sipped on fantastic sweet tea all day, but it was vodka/water and only had 67 calories a pop – fantastic!!! So all in all, yes, yes, I had too “high” days but it was only an extra 600 calories and they really were worth it! I hope you had fabulous weekends – can’t wait to read about them on your blogs!! Oh - and Saturday I weighed 124 (down 2 pounds) and Sunday I weighed 125 (back up one). So... we'll see how this week goes!!

"drunk eat"...lol you know, I've never heard of the term but can think of many times where I've "drunk eaten". I'm stealing your term heh.

Oh and sorry about the Auburn game...Auburn is a good team, it's just the fact that they're playing in the SEC where you have to be on your A game every week. They're doing great though.

:) Ah yes... i'm getting better at being a healthy drunk eater but I prefer to not do it at all. Then it's like where do you track the calories when you eat at 2 a.m.? Snack #4 or Breakfast the next day? ha!

Right... it's a tough year and yes, the SEC is amazing and there's just teams this year that are significantly better. You're a gator, right?!

Lol, sometime during college I convinced myself that if you're drunk while eating, then the calories don't count. Doh!

Right... well and truly if you don't remember how could they possibly count? haha

Yes, I work with gators and totally felt the gators at the end of that Ole Miss game - SHOCKING. It's been an odd season...

yo! considering you were tailgating and drinking, you did good for the weekend! Tailgates are ALWAYS full of yummy treats and its so hard to say no and pass up a peanut butter chocolate covered ball - I mean, seriously, does it get any better?! AND Firefly is fabulous and DANGEROUS :) def better choice calorie wise than red bull/vodka. Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Mar! I honestly was proud of me and Austin for planning ahead and not getting sucked into all of the fabulous goodness. It wasn't easy but I feel so much better now that I did it so I think it will be easier next time! YES, firefly was awesome. I did water only and it just mixed so yummiliciously no one could BELIEVE i wasn't drinking Milo's and they kept thinking I mixed vodka with sweet tea. i'm like NO it's sweet tea vodka - focus!
