Measurements, Book Review, Shoe?

ah! I can't believe there are so many lone shoppers out there! You go girls! I'll shop alone but I much prefer 1-2 besties going with me so we can help each other, give advice and just make it more of a trip. I find I have less buyer's remorse when I go with peeps too, need that validation I suppose! I mean, really, even when I go alone I send pics to my mom for advice!! And thanks for your sweet comments on my new items - I'm so excited! After playing with all of my new stuff yesterday, I ended up at 1,704 calories, 213 carbs, 57 fat grams and 105 protein grams. Here’s what I ate. Not bad, especially with the 6.25 miles and abs factored in – woo! I will say that I didn’t need 1.5 servings of cookies after dinner…. But I wanted it – so I went for it!

So earlier this week I had to measure myself for a bridesmaid dress… hadn’t measured in a while. Was at 31-26-35.5… up quite a bit from the last time I measured. But that’s okay – I’m back on it!

click to make larger.... the chart goes WAY back and man had I let the measuring go by the wayside!

I hope to measure again in a month and see some losses. Hard to believe looking at those numbers that last May I was at 30.5-24.5-33.5. Lovely that my chest stayed small but everything else got bigger. Ah to be a pear!! Haha I guess I should just be happy that I’ve maintained relatively well, but two extra inches on the hips is no friend to my pants… which is probably why I prefer dresses! Haha

So on to today, I just worked, walked 4 miles during lunch, worked more… worked late… then got on the road and finished up my audio book, My Sister’s Keeper. This book, by Jodi Picoult, was about a family divided in that one daughter had life-threatening cancer and the other daughter was conceived to be her donor. The story follows the tough decisions the family made, flashing back and forth in time, and from different perspectives. How it impacted the cancer-stricken daughter, the donating daughter, the forgotten son, and the impact this has all had on the parents, their marriage and more. It was an amazing story, with a lot of it focusing on the donating daughter suing her parents for the rights to her body – when giving a kidney is where she draws the line. This led to a great side story with the lawyer, his high school sweetheart, his medical condition and more. For those of have seen the movie know that the book is far more involved (as most are) but also that it has a COMPLETELY different ending. Like night and day. The book ending was far more shocking and depressing. Long story short, I give it a 4.5 out of 5, the only thing I would change would be a little bit less about the medical stuff. I get it, it’s important, but sometimes it wore on so much that I lost track of what I felt mattered, the characters, their feelings and their choices. I highly recommend it though, a long read but worth it!

I stopped by the library on the way home, then arrived home exhausted! I had lofty plans to cook, purge the closet some more and measure for the painters (want to have a ceiling painted)… doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Instead, I’m going to listen to my body which is saying, “I’m tired. Leave me alone.” It’s also saying,” I want these shoes!!”

Q: Do you like these shoes?! It’s okay if you don’t of course, I feel like they’re like certain breeds of dogs that shall remain nameless that are “so ugly they’re cute.” Tomorrow i'll take pics on my new dresses and post - yay!

Q: Do you take measurements? I see the benefit in once a month, but once a week clearly got to be too much for me!

Day 247: 2 New Products, Measurements, Movie Review & Granite!

So… as you know Thursday was going FAB! Things went downhill quick though. I won’t bore you with the sordid details but let’s just say that the granite people let me down. Now don’t get me wrong – the job is GREAT – we’re happy with it….here’s some pics!

Forgive the low quality pics- only have my iPhone camera now – eek!

BUT, that being said, there was a lot of miscommunication between our sales rep, the templater, the people who cut the template and the installers which resulted in 3 main areas of confusion: (1) the installers thought they could mess up our backsplash. Um, we’re keeping it thanks. One uncomfortable call later we’re good to go… (2) the installers thought we were having someone else come in to fill the ½” joint between the new countertops and existing backsplash… they were supposed to fill it though… they didn’t know. One awkward trip to Home Depot and we’re good to go…. (3) they went to put the sink holes in (for the faucet; faucet operator; soap dispenser and sprayer). It wasn’t working out and I couldn’t figure out why. But I did. They put the sink in backwards. I wanted the 60 (larger) side on the left and the 40 (smaller) side on the right…. the granite was cut incorrectly… OMG. So I went to the gym. Pissed. And walked 4 miles. I sent a hasty email and left a voicemail with the granite place saying there was a problem. I got home… and we couldn’t put anything on the granite. But that’s okay – I had a recipe ready!
Well, kind of a recipe, Trader Joe’s had a sample of this rando roasted chicken pattie with guac & pico on bread. I tried it. I loved it. I bought the chicken patties and the pico, but decided I would put mine on a pita.

We LOVED it. Amazing. We heated up the pitas in the oven for 5 minutes, heated the chicken in the microwave for 1 minute and spooned some guac/pico on top. It’s not much to look at but AWESOME. And only 468 calories, 58 carbs and 12 fat grams – and that’s with 2 pitas AND 5 tbsp guac/pico!!

We settled in and watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Loved it! Seriously – how had I never seen this before??!! It was a fan fave! We laughed and laughed and I couldn’t WAIT to watch it again! I think Kristin Belle did SUCH a good job, and that guy, whoever he is was amazing, as was the rocker. It was just too much fun - bot not too over the top. Clever and humerous - you must watch! We had a couple of glasses of wine during the movie and went to bed – GREAT night! I ended up at 1,663 calories, 219 carbs and 31 fat grams. Not bad! Here’s what I ate. What a wonderfully filling Trader Joe’s Day!!

Oh real quick - I did my measurements per the plan! Here's the update! click to make it larger!
So I'm maintaining and maybe a bit smaller but mostly the same - woo! I'll post today's review tomorrow... just so you know we're still working out an arrangement with the granite peeps. Wish us luck!

Day 199 & 200: New Weight, New Chairs, Free Concert Tickets, Moving Schedule and More – yay!

Friday

  • I had 1,680 calories, 205 carbs and 40 fat grams.
  • I got in 3.5 miles at lunch and 2 miles + abs + legs – my workout felt GREAT – first time I got in strength training this week and it was awesome!
  • Work was crazy like CRAZY. I got a lot done but it was draining.
  • I made enchiladas for dinner – still amazing!
  • My printer (awesome vendor; I’m their client) called me with an offer for free tickets to upcoming concerts at Chastain Park! She gave me a laundry list of options and me and Austin chose the Bad Company/Doobie Brothers concert on Friday night at Chastain park in June – woot!
  • I made our detailed, to-the-day, to-do list for moving. It’s jam-packed, but we feel better being on target and ready to go!
  • We watched a few Heroes – we’re on Season 3 now… so good.
  • Here’s what I ate.
Moving Schedule (click to get bigger!)

Saturday

We got up, had breakfast and had the most successful day. Oh – and I weighted 113!! Austin weighed 169. This is crazy you guys – that’s 23 down for me and 36 down for Austin – 59 pounds! Yesssss first time ever for both of us. And I measured – here is the updated chart (pretty much the same). And I changed my ticker – wanted something different!! Here’s what we did today (so far – it’s only 4 p.m.):

  • Used our $75 West Elm coupon for two chairs. They retailed for $300 and $200. They were on sale for $120 and $80 (only ones in the store). We told the guy we'd take them both if he'd do $150. He said sure and we got them both for $87 after our coupon - YAY! $44 a chair!
  • Visited Ikea and made a list of things we love and things we thought we loved but don’t like in person.
  • Bought 4 Euro Pillows at Target; found two lamps I want…
  • Scheduled the movers for April 11.
  • Scheduled the pool table movers for April 9.
  • Checked our dryer plug - it's 4-prong - YES! (the one at the house is 4-prong so we don't need an adaptor)
  • Went banking to prepare for buying our house! And ordered new checks.
  • Contacted our apartment complex to see if we need to paint the walls back (they keep thinking they did them but I want it in writing: either we need to paint them or we don't).
Measurement Chart (click to make larger)

New chairs!

That's it for now - off to start packing thanks to my sister for letting me borrow boxes! (Yes, my sister is so organized that she has packing boxes on hand – love it!) Hope you guys are having amazing weekends!!

Day 168: Updated Measurements, Product Review & House Hunting Update

Thank you guys so much for your thoughts and advice on my decision to up my calories. I REALLY appreciate it and feel so much better about moving forward having that in my back pocket!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

So believe it or not, yesterday I finally got around to measuring! Here is the chart. Not much has changed so that’s good – I heart maintaining. And honestly, I’m fine with these measurements, I just want to tone up a bit more. And I wouldn’t cry if my thigh measurement went down (or my bust measurement went up hehe). Click to make larger!

I started yesterday at 114.5, and a sausage/egg/potato burrito – YUM! I coupled that with dannon fat-free strawberry yogurt. Glorious! For lunch I had a hot turkey/roast beef/swiss sandwich, kettle chips and a mini snickers. For dinner I had FABULOUS chicken fajitas, yum, yum, yum. So this is all fine and good, but I had some other snacks woven in – 2 fun size m&m packs…. Wheat thins/4 laughing cow cubes… and a new product that I’m a fan of: Oreo Cakes! Sound kinda gross, no? Well I went to get my Kashi cookies because Austin “couldn’t find them” when he went to the store. I love him, but thought it was his error, not Kroger’s. So I went and this time they didn’t have them, but they DID have a sign saying they were recalled. What?! OMG! So I grabbed these new snacks to attempt to replace my favorite Kashi oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. They pale in comparison, but are STILL a fabulous yummy sweet treat that I enjoyed, especially because there were three so I really felt like I was getting a big treat!

As far as exercise, me and Stacy got in 3.5 miles at lunch (despite the NASTY Atlanta weather yesterday), then I went back and did 2 miles and abs. I had every intention of doing my chest/tricep dumbbells at home, but it didn’t happen. Instead, Austin went to poker and I got in bed and watched Biggest Loser Couples while reading blogs. Lovely! I ended up at 1,666 calories, 222 carbs and 54 fat grams – not bad, but not the best, again those crap snacks added up and got me! Here’s what I ate.

Oh – quick house update: we’re seeing 12 houses with Amanda on Saturday at noon. Wish us luck!! Cross your fingers for an extra 14’x18’ room on the main for the pool table! Hehe And here is an updated board I’ve been working on for one of the guest rooms – it’s REALLY coming together – I’m so excited! Hope you all had great Hump Days - ttyt!! Click to make larger!

Day 148 & 149: 2 Recipes, Measurements & a New Low Weight

So Friday night went as I said it would! We watched a movie, I had a glass of wine and a few more sips of Austin’s, and I passed out early! I ended up at 1,525 calories, 171 carbs and 43 fat grams. Not bad! Here’s what I ate.

Saturday did NOT go as planned. I got up early ready to hit the day… but I did nothing. I laid around and chilled, watched a few Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes, took a 3-hour nap, etc. I didn’t go to the gym. I did NOTHING. Hehe It felt pretty good to be honest. We had cereal for breakfast, sandwiches/chips for lunch and for dinner we had a more complicated meal slated but I just wasn’t feeling it. I remembered Prettyface’s quick Mexican wraps and decided to make them! Only I didn’t have cilantro, or green onion… or tomatoes… so we improvised and made Black Bean Chicken Tacos. Here’s how for 2 servings:

8 oz. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2-4 Mission low-carb tortillas***
2 tsp cumin
2 tsp chili powder
1/8 cup water
1 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
60 g Kroger fat-free cheddar cheese
2 tsp taco sauce
4 tbsp salsa
Salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Set mediums-sized pan on medium; spray with PAM. Defrost chicken. While defrosting, drain and rinse beans, divide into two 1/2 cup portions of beans, two 30-gram portions of cheese, and get out enchilada sauce and salsa. Place tortillas on pan and put in oven for 4 minutes. Cut chicken into strips and add to pan. Sprinkle on cumin and chili powder (it’s a lot!) and stir. Add water and salt to pan. Stir and cook until chicken is no longer pink, about 4 minutes. Once chicken is done, spoon into small chopper/food processer. Grind to make shredded chicken. Remove tortillas from oven. Spoon chicken onto tortillas, add enchilada sauce, then beans, then salsa, then cheese. Serve! Notes: We put salsa on the side, but decided next time we’d put salsa on between beans and cheese. We also added a bit of salt to each taco after the bean layer – I’m glad we did! ***After putting in spark people I realized it added up quick to more calories than I want to give to a meal – eek! So I decided next time I would make 1 taco as normal – then put the mix from the second taco in a bowl without a second shell. Nutritional Information (with 2 shells per serving): 545 calories, 81 carbs, 6 fat grams and 51 grams of protein. Nutritional Information (with 1 shell per serving): 425 calories, 47 carbs, 5 fat grams and 48 grams of protein. Now THAT’S more like it! I don’t think I’ll miss the second tortilla at all!

So after our filling, yummy dinner we headed over to our friends’ for a night of drinking games and debauchery. There ended up being 4 couples – all awesome friends including my sister/husband and Scott/Mary who is my inspiration (I literally was close enough friends to say how much do you weigh? 115? K – I want to weigh that because you look fabulous). I’m trying to get her to start her own blog – she’s SUCH an inspiration. Anywho – we had a great time playing a new game Scott/Mary made (a build your own game turned into a drinking game with crazy rules – super fun!) I had lots of vodka and stayed up until 3. Lovely. Great times though!! I ended up at 1,876 calories, 197 carbs and 27 fat grams – high night but way worth it but DANG that second tortilla. Blah – I’ve learned. :) Here’s what I ate.

This morning I got up at 9 and we headed home STARVING. But before making breakfast I weighed myself: 114 people! Yes – that’s what I’m talking about. (Have I told you yet that I’ve decided I want to be at 115 so in order to do that I’ve decided to work towards getting to 113 or 114 so when I fluctuate I’m at 115 or under? I heart a plan!) As usual, I didn’t trust the scale but moved it around and it was 114 three times. Then I remembered, it’s February! Time to measure. Here’s my updated chart:

So my chest, bust, hips, arm and thigh are a bit smaller - FAB! After all of the fun & games I was just STARVING so we threw together a new recipe with the same old ingredients. We call it Quick & Easy Sausage/Egg Wraps. Here’s how for 2 servings:

2 Mission Low carb tortillas
3 eggs
2 tbsp egg whites
1 tbsp milk
2 morningstar farms sausage patties
Salt, tony’s creole, Texas Pete hot sauce to taste

Preheat the oven to 350. Set medium-sized pan to medium and spray with PAM. Whisk together eggs, egg whites, milk and as much salt and tony’s creole seasoning as you’d like. Pour egg mixture in pan. Heat up sausage patties (40 seconds on both sides) and shred to pea-sized pieces. After two minutes, pour sausage into egg mix and stir. Put tortillas in oven. Continue stirring egg/sausage mixture until eggs are cooked, 2-3 more minutes. Remove tortillas from oven and spoon hot sauce in center. With the back of a spoon, smear it on the tortilla. Spoon egg/sausage mixture onto tortillas. Roll them up and cut them in half to make two wrap halves. Enjoy! Nutritional information per serving: 335 calories, 31 carbs, 12 fat grams and 26 protein grams.

K- off to do as little as possible (little bit of laundry, some reading and I’m seriously considering busting out my Windsor pilates DVDs… we’ll see). I’m also going to do my monthly assessment for January, my goals for February, my meal play for February and probably hit the grocery store – yay! Hope you’re all having awesome Sundays – I’m off to read your blogs now before going down for my nap.

Day 135: Book Review, New Books & Updated Measurements

So today my arms were SUPER sore! That’s what I get for not doing strength training for a couple weeks – DANG! Today I was back down to 116.5! Hadn’t been there since Dec. 16 – yay! Yes, I know it will fluctuate but still – trending down is always a good thing. Oh – and I measured! Here is my updated chart (click for it to get larger). It’s official – I’m a bit smaller than I was at the first of the month (TINY bit).

So my day started out great (working from home today) – had a yummy cereal breakfast, morning flew by working and then it was time for sandwich/chips for lunch and a 4-mile walk! I had a great walk and finished up Avalon High. It was a super cute book – didn’t realize it was a little mystery/buffy the vampirish book which made it different and fun read because I was like what is going on?!
(BTW – it must be said that I only read book jackets when I buy them… this was a library rental so I borrowed based on the author, Meg Cabot, and the cover, purple and pink… there, I sad it!) So I’d recommend it for a fun, quick read – and it was VERY easy to listen to and had lots of chapters which I like (my friend Stacy is reading a Jodi Picoult book and she can read forever and not finish a chapter – boo!). When I was searching for this image to add to the blog, I found this short, cute review that I thought was SO true – it has some spoilers though so if you like to be left out on the plot of books then don’t go read it.

My afternoon breezed by as well and before I knew it was 5 p.m. and Austin was home! I took a shower and we mixed up the meal plan and had pizza muffins tonight, but made the white chicken chili tonight for tomorrow, and I prepped the blackened chicken pasta for tomorrow – yay! Can’t wait to try both new recipes tomorrow. We tested the chili and it was GOOD – I’ll give a full report + recipe tomorrow once I’ve eaten it and see if it fills me up, etc. I watched lots of Law & Order SVUs today – WOW – that show, while I still love it, has gotten a bit graphic! The pedophilia episode just about upset me – wow! Aside from the SVU throwing me off, I had an argument with a friend. Crazy – I don’t feel like I’ve argued with a friend like that in YEARS, truly – like I can’t remember…. definitely not on my list of top 10,000 things to do. One of those situations where I was totally blindsided and had just had enough… so I told the truth. She’s probably still mad at me but I’m just not going to do this. I’m not going to argue with my friend simply because we disagree and I won’t do what she wants me to do. I respect where she’s coming from, and while she may respect where I’m coming from, she’s more concerned with getting her way and I hate it for her, especially for picking this tiny battle, because now even if I were to come around I couldn’t in principle because of all of the back and forth dramatic emailing, text messaging and phone calls that just about drained me of all of my energy today. Sometimes even when you feel deep down you’re right and you did the right thing, you still don’t feel good about it in the end. It was lose-lose you know? Damned if you let it go and damned if you took a stand. SIGH. Sorry for the vague randomness that is this paragraph but I really am thrown by this. I mean it. I don’t argue with my friends – do I get upset with them? Do I sometimes disagree with them? OF COURSE. But I like to think we all agree to disagree and move on… Anyway…

On a more positive note – here are the 12 books I got at Barnes & Noble online for a grand total of $53.88 (including tax & free shipping!):

Ivy Chronicles – sounded cute!
A Body to Die For – LOVE Kate White’s mysteries
How to Be Popular – Meg Cabot; nuf said for me!
Nanny Diaries – always thought this sounded cute
Last Chance Saloon – love Marian Keyes
To the Nines (Stephanie Plum) – love these little books; have listened to a few from the library
Twelve Sharp (Stephanie Plum) - dito
Ten Big Ones (Stephanie Plum) - dito
At First Sight – loved the notebook and thought Sparks would be good to listen to
Shoe Addicts Anonymous – sounded cute!
Speak Softly, She Can Hear – sounds SO intense… I’m intrigued
Eye Contact – ditto

At the end of the day I realized I was low on calories again, so I had some cheez its… then a bowl of frosted flakes! I weighed it though and made sure I stayed in range, ending up at 1,508 calories, 231 carbs and 31 fat grams. Great! Especially with the cardio factored in! Here’s what I ate.

Day 120 and 121: Feeling the Effcts of My New Year's Vacay

As per my pattern of Friday and Saturday night binge drinking, New Year’s Eve, while on a Wednesday, was no different. Sigh. Here’s Bad/Good:

  • I got up feeling hungover/I went to the gym anyway and walked 4 miles
  • I sampled so much hummus I thought I may explode/I stayed away from the cheese dips/chips
  • I drank two beers/I only drank two beers! Couple that with a few vodkas and I’m back in trouble though...
  • I had 1,977 calories/I didn’t have more than 2,000! And – that doesn’t include the calories burned from walking so not horrible! And – I had an amazing time with some of the best people in the world and I got to celebrate with my fabulous husband (he proposed to me on New Year’s Eve 2007.)

Lesson learned? The good outweighed the bad. CLEARLY! :) I ended up at 1,977 calories, 196 carbs and 38 fat grams. Here’s what I ate. And here's another wedding photo – it was that or a photo of the hummus people! P.S. I'm still feeling the holiday colors.

So I rang in the new year and woke up New Year’s Day feeling like complete and total poo. I had the good sense to bring a jimmy dean to my friend’s house (i.e. where I crashed) so I at least ate a healthy breakfast. And I had chicken parmesan ready to go at Austin’s parents’ house for lunch. However…. We just couldn’t get moving. And we were exhausted and cranky and sleep deprived. So I snacked. I snacked on chips/salsa… I got a BLIZZARD on the way home – are you kidding me?! Granted, I didn’t even eat half of it, but still – I’m not even a blizzard fan! Argh. I got home and made chips/sandwich. Not awful… but did I stop there?! No – I ate devil chips – Tostitos jalapeƱo scoops (which, by the way, aren't even on the Tostitos website... probably because they found out they were laced with crack). I met them over Christmas, let myself buy a bag and clearly can’t be held responsible for what happens when they end up in my grasp! OMG I wasn’t even hungry. So, needless to say, I started out the new year with random bad snacking and not working out. Boo on me! I ended up at 1,872 calories, 256 carbs and 55 fat grams. SIGH. Here’s what I ate. Wasn’t looking forward to weighing in…

Speaking of, today I woke up at 119.5. eek! Gone are the days of 118… gone is my fab low of 116.5. I’m back to Dec. 14’s weight. And you know what? I deserve it – I ate my way here and I’ll work my way back, right?! Right. I started back today with 3 miles at lunch, now if only I can get my tired butt to the gym after work for 2 more miles, legs and abs… it’s raining… and cold. I hope I can do it! I do have some good news. I measured this morning and it was almost an exact from December 15’s measurement (i.e. my chest got a little smaller, didn't know that was possible, and my arm got a little bigger). So New Year's vaca didn't increase my size too terribly thankyouverymuch. :) Here’s the progress chart. That makes me feel better about my rando binge!
Click on photo to make it larger

K - off to the gym now... I hope tomorrow's weigh in reflect today's good deeds rather than blizzard + scoops! And, between us, i'm kind of weirded out that those Tostito Scoops aren't on the site! haha

Day 103: Pupper Christmas Pictures & Updated Measurements

I would like to begin this post with something happy – pictures of our baby shih poo Reuben in his holiday costume!

I think he’s the cutest thing in the world (of course) and he is also, clearly, a good sport. He’s ready for the Christmas Party in Birmingham Saturday night fo sho! The day was pretty lazy after his photo shoot/lunch – just laundry, reading magazines, etc. My TOM had me feeling like CRAP so I mostly stayed in bed with Reuben and got stuff ready for the week (i.e. gym clothes; made 6 egg patties for breakfast this week, etc.). My appetite sucked – all I craved were vats and vats of macaroni & cheese. Sigh. Ended up having lots of snacks – and I made this random sandwich (2 slices of wheat bread with tbsp of spaghetti sauce on each, 1 once of mozzarella grated cheese and 9 turkey pepperonis – then I cooked it like a grilled cheese). It was pretty good. I chased that with cheerios and milk – RANDOM. Haha In the end I had 1,345 calories, 201 carbs and 22 fat grams. Not bad! Here’s what I ate.

Measurement Update

So, me being a slave to my own rules, I measured today even though I feel incredibly bloated. It came out okay I must say!

Chest: 28.75”
Bust: 32”
Waist (smallest part): 26”
Waist (biggest part): 32”
Hips: 34.5”
Arm: 9.75”
Thigh: 20.5”

Here it is in the chart:

I think what is the oddest to me is my hips. They're just gone and they left with a quickness. I double-checked that measurement three times and there it was - 34.5. Everything else was pretty standard. I'm really happy with a 26" waist! :) Especially with TOM being here and all. So 32-26-34.5 - that's pretty straight up and down, kind of a pear, right? Measurements are weird.
Construction Update
Austin is at home today - no noise yet. The office opened at 10 a.m. and they've having their "big meeting" this morning with the construction foreman to see why this is taking so long, blah blah. Austin is going down there soon to talk to "Carla" to see:

A: When they’re going to fix the other two holes on the right side of our house
B: When they’re going to finish the whole job (remind them this has been going on since Dec. 1 – we haven’t been able to see outside, use our balcony, etc.).
C. What they’re going to do (for us) – remind them that the job isn’t over yet, we’ve been unable to spend our vacation days/sick days/work from home days and now weekends in our home.
We'll see...
K - off to get some work done! Going to walk 3.5 miles during lunch, and 1.5 miles after to get in my 5. Then I have some strength training planned - I think chest, triceps and abs! I'm excited to get back in the groove and hope it will relive some of this TOM-related pain. Hope you're all having Happy Mondays!!

New Weight and Measurements: Friday, Nov. 14

Yes, I know i'm jumping the gun here since I haven't even done yesterday's assessment, but that's because I woke up this morning and hit my next goal - 120! Yay! Now I'm only 5 pounds from my goal weight - awesome. Of course I know i'll go up again tomorrow, but I know i'll find my way back to 120 again soon so fantastic - happy Friday indeed!

I know i'm doing measurements on the 1st and 15th - but tomorrow i'll be in Auburn for the AU/GA game staying a friend's house with a bunch of peeps. I didn't want to bring my tape measure and do it there - so I did it a day early... Here goes!

Chest: 28.5
Bust: 32
Waist (smallest part): 26.5
Waist (largest part): 32
Hips: 35.5
Thigh: 21
Bicep: 10

From Nov. 1 to now, i've lost 3.5 pounds, 1.5 inches in chest, 1 inch in bust, .5 inches in smallest part of waist, 1 inch in largest part of waist and .5 inches in hips! Yay! My thighs stayed the same (of course!) and my arm got .5 inches bigger.

I'm so happy! I'm almost back into all of the clothes in my closet (of course lots are too big now... 6's look silly, 4's are pretty baggy and 2's look the best but some are still a little too small in the hip/thigh area).

Here's my weight and measurement charts... hope they continue to trend down until I get to my goal weight!!

Today's Weigh-In & New Measurements

So today I weighed 123.5, one more pound than yesterday... So my goal was to go into November at 122…. While I got down to that weight it didn’t hold. So right now my next goal was 120 by Nov. 15… this gives me 14 days for 3.5 pounds. I don’t know if this is possible….. I’ll have to update my goals later! Also, as per my goals today was measurement day! This morning my measurements were: Chest (33”) – Waist (27”) – Hips (36”). Extra measurements: mid-hip (33”), Bicep (9.5”) and Thigh (12”). The last time I measured was Wednesday, Oct. 15. Mid-hip and thigh remained the same, but here is how the others panned out:

Chest - down .5”
Waist – up .5”
Hips – up .5”
Bicep –down .5”

So chest and bicep are down, but waist and hip are up… hmmm. I weighed 125 the last time I measured, so while I’m down 1.5 pounds I’m about the same size… Measurement question – do you measure chest at the biggest part of your chest or below your chest – like around where your bra would go?? 33” was biggest part, below was 30”. (Yes, I’m terribly flat haha) Just wondering if I’m doing it correctly!!

So clearly I need to get focused. At least I’ll be able to get away from Halloween candy!! (until Thanksgiving food… and Christmas treats… )

Today’s Weigh In & New Measurements!

So today I weighed 125, 1 less than yesterday so not bad. Also, as per my goals (i'm such a stickler!), I’m going to measure monthly, on the 15th and last day. This morning my measurements were: Chest (33.5”) – Waist (26.5”) – Hips (35.5”). Extra measurements: mid-hip (33”), Bicep (10”) and Thigh (12”). The last time I measured was Monday, Sept. 6… chest and bicep remained the same, but here is how the others panned out:

Waist – down 1.5”
Hips – down 1.5”
Mid-hip – down 2.5”
Thigh – down .5”

Not bad! Is this significant? I don’t even know. All I know is I weighed 131.5 on Sept. 6 (6.5 pounds more than today). I have no idea if this change in 5 weeks is good?? Hmmm
