ah! I can't believe there are so many lone shoppers out there! You go girls! I'll shop alone but I much prefer 1-2 besties going with me so we can help each other, give advice and just make it more of a trip. I find I have less buyer's remorse when I go with peeps too, need that validation I suppose! I mean, really, even when I go alone I send pics to my mom for advice!! And thanks for your sweet comments on my new items - I'm so excited! After playing with all of my new stuff
yesterday, I ended up at 1,704 calories, 213 carbs, 57 fat grams and 105 protein grams.
Here’s what I ate. Not bad, especially with the 6.25 miles and abs factored in – woo! I will say that I didn’t need 1.5 servings of cookies after dinner…. But I wanted it – so I went for it!
So earlier this week I had to measure myself for a bridesmaid dress… hadn’t measured in a while. Was at 31-26-35.5… up quite a bit from the last time I measured. But that’s okay – I’m back on it!
click to make larger.... the chart goes WAY back and man had I let the measuring go by the wayside!

I hope to measure again in a month and see some losses. Hard to believe looking at those numbers that last May I was at 30.5-24.5-33.5. Lovely that my chest stayed small but everything else got bigger. Ah to be a pear!! Haha I guess I should just be happy that I’ve maintained relatively well, but two extra inches on the hips is no friend to my pants… which is probably why I prefer dresses! Haha
So on to
today, I just worked,
walked 4 miles during lunch, worked more… worked late… then got on the road and finished up my audio book,
My Sister’s Keeper. This book, by Jodi Picoult, was about a family divided in that one daughter had life-threatening cancer and the other daughter was conceived to be her donor. The story follows the tough decisions the family made, flashing back and forth in time, and from different perspectives.

How it impacted the cancer-stricken daughter, the donating daughter, the forgotten son, and the impact this has all had on the parents, their marriage and more. It was an amazing story, with a lot of it focusing on the donating daughter suing her parents for the rights to her body – when giving a kidney is where she draws the line. This led to a great side story with the lawyer, his high school sweetheart, his medical condition and more. For those of have seen the movie know that the book is far more involved (as most are) but also that it has a COMPLETELY different ending. Like night and day. The book ending was far more shocking and depressing. Long story short, I give it a
4.5 out of 5, the only thing I would change would be a little bit less about the medical stuff. I get it, it’s important, but sometimes it wore on so much that I lost track of what I felt mattered, the characters, their feelings and their choices. I highly recommend it though, a long read but worth it!
I stopped by the library on the way home, then arrived home exhausted! I had lofty plans to cook, purge the closet some more and measure for the painters (want to have a ceiling painted)… doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Instead, I’m going to listen to my body which is saying, “I’m tired. Leave me alone.” It’s also saying,” I want these shoes!!”

Q: Do you like these shoes?! It’s okay if you don’t of course, I feel like they’re like certain breeds of dogs that shall remain nameless that are “so ugly they’re cute.” Tomorrow i'll take pics on my new dresses and post - yay!
Q: Do you take measurements? I see the benefit in once a month, but once a week clearly got to be too much for me!
