New Recipe, Birthday Celebration, Football Day (Auburn 5-0!), and Movie Day

I’m so glad you guys liked my meal planning process! A few of you mentioned you had your own – please share any tips or ideas – I’d love to improve mine!! I believe I got back to all of you who wanted the packet – but if I missed you just let me know and I’ll send it! K…Time to rewind! I never posted Thursday’s stats so here they were: 1,625 calories, 229 carbs, 37 fat grams and 79 protein grams. Here’s what I ate. Riveting stuff, right? haha Sorry – didn’t want to leave anything off!

Friday was a great day!! I worked, had a work lunch with Mel and Stacy at Chequers Seafood Grill, then worked and was supposed to go work out… but me and Stacy went to happy hour instead, then dinner, then home to shower, over to Decatur to drop Reuben off with my mom and off to Neighbors to kick off Scott’s brother Jay’s 30th birthday bar crawl! We had a great time at Neighbors, Atkins Park and Cavern – then we crashed over at Mary/Scott’s. Awesome time with great friends. But yes, I went over, ending up at 2,033 calories, 227 carbs, 27 fat grams and 77 protein grams. Here’s what I ate – and drank! Here’s some pics…

Austin took my camera.... this is what he sees when he looks at me. haha cracks me up that I look like a shorty all the time (he's a foot taller)

I got to chat with Ruje - love her!

Austin, Nick and Scott

Saturday we got up at Mary T/Scott’s, hopped in their car, grabbed our car and went to Decatur to get Reuben! He had a wonderful night at his Mimzy’s place – she said he did great! We headed home, cooked, cleaned up a little and showered, then it was time for Mon and Andy to come over to watch the UGA/LSU game. Austin had set up a TV outside so it was great! Except for the fact that I’m VERY allergic to grass and he had just mowed… needless to say by 11 p.m. my face had practically imploded and it physically hurt to keep my eyes open – eek! It was fun though – I cooked Greek Feta Chicken (from Kitchen Parade) and Monica brought a Greek Salad with homemade dressing from For the Love of Cooking! It was great! And I got to use my Auburn dishes which ALWAYS makes me happy. Do you have a collection of dishes you love to use – football-related or otherwise?

Austin outside enjoying his set up!!

His set up - yay!

By 11:30 me and Mon were inside in bed! I have no idea how long the boys stayed up, but I know I feel GREAT today and Austin is struggling a bit. Hehe I ended up at 1,844 calories, 217 carbs, 38 fat grams and 103 protein grams. Here’s what I ate. Not awful, but definitely a few too many snacks! (gotta love “football food.”)

Sunday I had a new, yummy breakfast: Green Eggs & Muffin. Here’s the details for 2 servings!

4 large eggs

2 tbsp grated Reduced-Fat Parmesan Cheese

2 tsp chopped fresh basil

2 English Muffins

2 tbsp Fat-Free Cream Cheese

4 slices tomato

Salt, Pepper and red pepper flakes to taste

Scramble eggs in a nonstick-sprayed pan over medium heat with a dash of milk. Add in Basil and parmesan. Continue scrambling, and stir in salt, pepper and red pepper flakes. Cut the muffin in half and toast to desired crispiness. Top with cream cheese and tomato. Nutritional Information: 303 calories, 31 carbs, 12 fat grams and 19 protein grams.

After the new recipe (which will become a standard weekend yummy!), I had movie day. I wanted to do nothing but watch movies – so rando! I watched Deception (meh… not bad but not awesome), Ghost Town (loved it – so funny, cute, etc. – I even cried!), and Seven Pounds (meh… I couldn’t get into it, had to fast forward, eventually wanted to know what happened but didn’t want to watch it… so I IMBDed it – I know – I’m an awful person). Then I watched an old favorite, The Cutting Edge. Sigh. A fan favorite. Do you have a FAVORITE movie you can watch again and again even though you can recite the dialogue? I meant to go to the gym. I meant to at least do free weights at home. Or just abs. But nothing happened! I did end up at 1,747 calories, 252 carbs, 54 fat grams and 80 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

I’ll post today’s dealio tomorrow – I’m too tired and this post is getting too long!! Hope you all had good Mondays – talk to you tomorrow!

I've seen "Amélie" at least 30 times, and I also really like "Bend it like Beckham" and (Shhh) all the "High School Musical" movies. Ugh, why am I 12?

Fun weekend, though not including the allergic reaction to the grass!

The green eggs sound great! I love basil, but I have never put it in my eggs. I'll have to make these soon!

Sounds like you've been having lots of fun over the weekend. I love all the pics! :)

Cutting Edge is a great movie! I could watch any John Hughes film over and over again! Especially Pretty in Pink and Sixteen Candles!

Your weekends always sound so similar to mine (well before the hubbie went to the hospital and we stopped going out lol). Always go go go!

Sometimes we'll bring a second TV into the living room to watch multiple football games at once :)

I love Clueless. I don't know what that says about me. ;) It came on TBS the night before I got married and it was the perfect way to end "singlehood."

I love the pictures! How fun.

Those eggs sound amazing. We often have eggs for random meals like lunch and dinner. I add all kinds of things to eggs - the kids love it!
