So protein is spot on! For sure - woo! Carbs are pretty close and are definitely getting better and more in line! Fat was out of whack! I think it's the chocolate. And cheese. I can fix that! (with the chocolate - the amount I've been consuming is a bit absurd!!)

A Look Back: October Goals
1. Keep calories under 1,850 on days when I work out and 2,300 when I drink (6 high days or LESS). I had too many high days (again) – I had 8. Also, I think the calories need to be broken out further…
2. Walk 84 miles, and take Reuben on 3 neighborhood walks. Didn’t happen. We did 1 neighborhood walk and 71 miles. We’re going to try this again!
3. Do strength training 3 days/week. Didn’t happen, but this WILL happen this month– I’m all over it!
4. Do abs 2 days/week. Didn’t happen – but I’m making it a big goal this month!
5. Introduce 5 new recipes. DONE; will make 10 this month!
6. Read 4 books (including audio!). DONE; will read 3 this month.
7. Begin tracking cardio and ST in Spark People to utilize the new calendar tool. Didn’t happen… And I’m thinking it’s not going to. I’m just going to keep it on the blog!
8. Develop a meal plan for each week; track food the day BEFORE. DONE This is going very well – loving it!
9. Wear my new HRM at EVERY workout. DONE
10. Get down to 116 (i.e. lose 2 pounds) Will try, try again.
So.... I wish I had done a bit better this month. I realize that getting sick didn't help (with ST or abs or walking which could have impacted the weight). But I still felt like I really overindulged and had WAY too much candy this month. I'm going to try to stay more focused in November... I may even say "no reese's cups" for November!!
A Look Ahead: November Goals
1. Keep calories under 1,800 on days when I work out; under 1,600 on days when I don’t work out and under 2,300 when I drink (6 high days or LESS).
2. Walk 88 miles, and take Reuben on 3 neighborhood walks.
3. Do strength training 3 days/week.
4. Do abs 2 days/week.
5. Introduce 10 new recipes.
6. Read 3 books (including audio!).
7. Develop a meal plan for each week; track food the day BEFORE.
8. Wear my new HRM at EVERY workout.
9. Get down to 116 (i.e. lose 2 pounds).
10. Get with Austin – finalize House to-do list, attach timing and get quotes for things I’m unsure about (crown molding/lighting/etc.)
11. No Reese's cups.... I added this on. It's Nov. 3. I've already had 8. I'm DONE for the month.
So I’m thinking of adding a water goal. How much do you guys recommend? drinking daily?

Do you have any goals for this month?
Tomorrow I will post 2-3 more recipes (two for sure!), and i'll post today's dealio!! Hope you all have great nights!!

All I know is that I don't think I drink enough water per day... If you have a new water goal for November I just might join you...
Definetly add the water goal! I drink tons of water! I understand where you are coming from about the reese cups!!!!
Great goal tracking for October - you are so organized!
I think I need to go back to tracking on Spark like you do. It really does help.
I love your charts and goal analysis! I say, aim for a glass of water every hour, because in an 8-hour workday, you have already hit the daily target :)
I like it when you assess your month's goals. You are so good at holding yourself accountable.
I've been trying to take my dog on more neighborhood walks - it's hard to fit in, but she gets so excited to be walked.
I'm aiming for 80 oz of water. I really feel so much better when I drink plenty of water.
Again, I marvel at you organizational skills!
I'm just curious, why 113?
I drink about a gallon a day.. sometimes it's tough but I feel so much better and less bloated!
Love your monthly round ups!!
OMG, I also love Reese Cups!!!! I don't know how you are going to that!!
Good luck with November
Shar
Woohoo, 71 miles of cardio is nothing to sneeze at!
What exactly constitutes a "neighborhood" walk for Reuben?
My goal for this month is to do the 100 push up challenge. We will see how it goes. I did my initial test last night and I could only do 2 regular push ups :-(
I just want to say how impressed I am with all your charts and tracking of your progress! Me too loves Reese...I must stay away-can't stop at one! You inspire me not to give up om my goals!
I'm so curious to know if there's any part of your life that isn't organized? You are so good at setting goals and tracking your progress!
I don't know how much water I drink/day... probably 60-70 os, but more if I do hot yoga that day.
You are crazy organized, I love it! So inspiring to get my own life organized ;) Reese's....yummy.....
Great job for October!!!! :)
you are SO detailed its amazing. Pretty cool to look at all of those numbers throughout the month.
As far as the water thing, I usually drink about 3 liters of water a day!
For a while I was avid about drinking a gallon a day but I think that is just too much for my body. It may be TMI but I was peeing about every 45 mins! So now I just try and drink as much as possible. I would say I average a little more then half a gallon a day.
On the plus side it made me realize how many times I think I'm hungry when I really was thirsty!
I really need to work on more water - I know I don't get enough.
Maybe allow yourself 1 mini reese's cup instead of denying yourself completely? If you have a good day and are in calorie range + drank your water I think you can treat yourself.

I love your detailed monthly assessments.
My goals for November are: flossing, slowing down and taking "me" time, not going overboard with seasonal "treats," and, making sure I eat enough fruits and veggies (somehow this is so easy in the summer but can be a bit harder in the fall and winter for me).
Good luck with your new November goals!! I am in awe of how organized you are... :)
I need to drink more water too. I am not a big fan of plain ol' water so it is constantly a struggle for me.
I love how dedicated you are with your charts and monthly assessments!! And your meal planning! My goal for the month, get this, is "To not to buy anything that I can wear."
So that means socks, jewelry (even cheap F21 stuff, sniff, sniff), anything and everything I can wear. My sister gave me the challenge and gosh darn it, I never turn down a good challenge. Yep, so we will see how that goes. But the shopping was getting a little ridic and I'd like to save up for more substantial things (like a trip we're planning for next summer).
In regards to water, I try to drink 8 cups a day...I notice if I go to the gym I can drink 3-4 cups easily while working out and carry a refillable water bottle with me everywhere. :)
Phew! Girl you make me tired just reading all your goals :) Yayy for the water goal- I aim for 72 oz/day. I think one month you should do a month without goals. I think it'd be an interesting placebo month!
Thought I'd share as well - I drink about a gallon of water daily as well. I take one of those BIG clear bottles with the handle to work ( I call it my water baby, because it's as heavy as a damn newborn!). It;s about 2.2 liters and then throughout the morning and evening I drink the rest of the 2.2 liters to make my gallon. I pee a lot, but you get used to it. haha
Definetly add the water goal! I drink tons of water! I understand where you are coming from about the reese cups!!!!
