Abs, My First Ramekin Experience, New Recipe

Thanks you guys! I love my little puppers. And yes, their weight didn't even kind of break the ice (which makes sense seeing that they're a combined 10 pounds! Little babies!). And I hear you - hopefully the airport psycho was just having a rough day - I dunno - I was just like nope, just stop talking, I can't deal with you! On another note, HAPPY FRIDAY! It feels like it's been Friday for a while... i'm actually ready to get back into the swing of things at work but it's not happening - we're even off on Monday - crazy! Backing up... Thursday was still a bit zombiesque. I slept in a bit, and got online at 8:30 to get to work. So nice to work from home again and to have the puppers with me. I got a lot done, worked through lunch then signed off at 5 p.m. That's when I hit the floor to do abs. I did the same workout as last week:
Then it was time to cook! I made the following:
  • 6 servings of brunch pizza squares
  • 6 servings of chili noodle bake
  • 6 servings of baked Italian sausage pasta
  • 4 servings of baked mini quiches new!
  • I also prepped chicken for two recipes I plan to make tonight - woo!
So what are those things in the front?! Those are the result of my first time using my new ramekins! So exciting. Here is a close up:
I'll post the recipe tomorrow -I'm SO excited! In the meantime, here is a recipe I made last week:
Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole
Recipe adapted from Erica's Kitchen Adventures
Makes 6 Servings

Nutritional Information: 394 calories, 43 carbs, 8 fat grams and 31 protein grams.

Q: It's Friday - what are your weekend plans? I plan to do nothing tonight. Tomorrow I have my sister's first baby shower in Decatur and then a wedding in Greenville, S.C. Sunday I plan to do some work around the house - perhaps tackling those guest room closets as that is a January 2011 to-do!

Q: Do you do ab workouts? If so, how many days per week do you do them? Right now i'm doing 2 days/week; 4 exercises/day. I'm going to do this workout for a month, and then do another in February.

Working from home is the absolute best! I love sitting next to Frank all day. And look at you and all that cooking- whoop whoop. Ramekins are so fun. Weekend= tonight starts Charleston restaurant week so Josh and I are going out. Tomorrow- shopping with Mom and group fitness holiday party at night. Sunday??

Yum, everything sounds so good! Ramekins are the best, aren't they?! I use them for so many things. They are a great "portion control" size bowl!

I love all the cooking you do! You are so great at preparing for future meals!! Awesome job. As for the weekend, we are finally clearing out our storage unit (yay) and hopefully sneaking in date night.

Awesome job on all the cooking AND ramekin success ;-) I try to work my abs 3 times a week always switching it up. Hope you have a great weekend!

I do do ab workouts but nothing specific...right now I just need to work on shedding some unwanted pounds--yikes, I think when you wear dresses (almost) year round it can be quite a shocker when the jeans don't fit, haha! AND I'm always amazed at how much you cook!

I am going to be kind of lazy this weekend and start homework for this semester. I'm also taking my niece to a movie for her birthday:)

You 'hit the floor for some abs...' - all I heard was 'She hit the flo...next thing you know...shawty got low, low, low, low' LOL! Good for you for sticking with the ab workouts!

I have so many sizes of ramekins it is funny. And I use them for everything! Can they go in the oven? I'm clueless!!

I just started (again?) trying to do ab workouts. I really fail at them, and it feels like I need to start with even easier exercises. Flutter kicks? Ow.

No big weekend plans. It's the last one before school starts!

I love ramekins. Can't wait for that recipe!

I had a birthday dinner with the family last night, a 4-mile run in about 20 minute then a birthday lunch and a girls night out, then tomorrow another birthday dinner with one of my besties. So excited!

I try to do abs regularly but I always slack. I plan to sneak in a 10-minute ab video today and I we do abs when I do Body Pump but I need to work harder on it. Thanks for the reminder :)

Im LOVING your recipes. Ive started "pre cooking" for my husband and its SO much easier. It means I can get to the gym of an evening which is important as fitness is a priority to me!
