So on Friday I finished up my audio book, Nora Roberts' Tribute. It followed a former child actress, Cilla, as she attempted to restore her grandmother's manor. I liked it because it had a love interest thing going on, as well as a murder mystery (did her grandmother really commit suicide?). Outside of that, she was very in to flipping houses, so it was interesting to hear her choices in the kitchen, her issues with working with contractors, etc. I liked it most when it focused on the mystery (of course) but I still thought it was a nice, well done story, with a great twist at the end. I give it a 3.5/5. It would have been a 5 for me if the copy had been tightened up a bit - little too much description in some spots and I found myself distracted until it got back to the meat of the story.
So here's what our agenda as far as eats this week! Well, these items and a few new recipes of course. :)
Upside Down Pizza - 6 servings
Green Chicken Enchiladas - 4 servings
Skillet Bowtie Pasta - 4 servings
Slowcooker Chicken Mac & Cheese - 4 servings
Sausage & Potato Bake - 6 Servings yes, this one needs a new picture!
Breakfast Nachos - 2 servings
Yummy! Can't wait to get home and get to cooking!

What a great menu plan for the week!!! I can't even decide what part looks best- yum :). I am looking forward to one of my best friends coming into town on Friday
Oh maaan! It's mid-afternoon munch time and can't claw my way into the screen to get to any of that good lookin' food! No fair. Seriously
I haven't made enchiladas in a while. Need to add those back to the menu soon. Today I am enjoying a rest day (both from work and workouts). Made some seitan and am currently baking some bread. Also treated myself to a quick trip to The Limited ;-)
I'm looking forward to a long elliptical sesh with my kindle to stretch out my legs as well as Body Pump and leftover/easy dinner! I haven't been doing much cooking lately. I miss it, but my motivation just isn't there for some reason.
Can I come eat at your house this week? Everything looks and sounds great!
My menu this week: Chicken/veggie soup, "wok noodles," salad and grilled salmon, and pasta. I'm short one meal, but I'll figure something out... :)
Girl I feel you on Nora Roberts -- sometimes she is just TOO descriptive. It turns into something I feel like I wrote in 7th grade when I was learning about descriptive writing and adjectives!
Your meal plan looks DELISH! Can Tom and I come live with you guys? We'll bring our little dog and it will be wonderful. We'll even provide dog care in return for delish things!
This week, I'm looking forward to preparation for next week's mtn trip: packing, grocery shopping, etc.
I'm trying to eat through the food that I've piled up in the fridge since Ryan will be home soon and we will stay at his parent's house. I guess that's what I'm looking forward to...this week moving and grooving and being that much closer to R&R.
That is an impressive menu for the week, nice work!
I'm making pizza this week, but I guess I always do that, so it's less exciting.
I'm going to try Zumba tonight and make a damn fool of myself!
Mmm...slow cooker mac and cheese? Sign me up for that!
Hooray for the breakfast nachos!
Everything looks delicious - but I am going RIGHT NOW to print out the sausage potato bake - I don't care how the picture looks - yum!
So... trying to figure out this new comment system and it deleted all of my previous comments... it's importing now! Feel free to comment as I figure this out!! :)
Yay - hope you love it!
I tried it with fiesta nacho cheese last night instead... we'll see!
love it - hope you love Zumba!!!
haha SO TRUE - Nora.... I want to like her but just don't know if it's for me! :(
I took your advice and added this instead of intense debate... I don't know if I did it right but we'll see!
