Day 130 & 131: Wine, SF Red Bull & 2 New Breakfasts

Happy Sunday! Hope you’re all having wonderfully lazy days like me! This weekend was a blast – but now it’s time to recover and get back on track! So Friday’s workout ended up being 5 miles only. Just couldn’t bring myself to do strength training and I was ready to get home and have dinner with Austin and get over to our friends’ house! We had a great night!! Lots of talking, catching up, playing dance dance revolution (my fave!) and singing karaoke! (my favorite song to sing: Third Eye Blind’s Semi-charmed kinda life) I had a blast with our friends, and meeting a new couple that was super nice! I did do the following things though: snacked on cheese/crackers (skipped the pepperoni though), drank almost a bottle of wine… by myself (skipped the beer/liquor), stayed up until 4 a.m. (dang time flies when you have fun). At the end of the day I had 1,937 calories, 165 carbs and 59 fat grams. Not bad! And most of the fat came from my salmon at lunch (went out to Chequers again – love it). So, while it was a high day, it was a great day! Here’s what I ate.

I woke up Saturday EXHAUSTED. Have I mention that as unfortunate as it may be my body requires 8 hours of sleep? It only got 5.5 hours so I was a walking zombie. We got up, drove home, I weighed 119 (again), and I wanted to cook something NEW! I was so over eating breakfast muffins all week long and told Austin I wanted to eat different breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday morning. So in my zombie state, I threw together Tomato, Onion & Feta Omelets – they were fab! And only 234 calories, 7 carbs and 12 fat grams with 22 protein grams – yay!

I got in bed and tried to stay awake because we had another house day in store! Long story short – we saw 6 properties between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. Out of the 6, we could see ourselves living in one of them. Yes, one. Sigh. I LOVED it, Austin wasn’t crazy about the area so we’re going to finally decide, once and for all today, if we’re going to rent or buy. Wish me luck! (I’m fine with whichever).
During house hunting we had a break so we had turkey sandwiches and chips… and we swung by the bank (to deposit the $600 from the company who broke our lamp/end table) and got sucked in by the frozen yogurt shop! When we got back home we were BEAT so we got in bed and slept for 2 hours. LOVELY! I woke up starving at 8 p.m. so we cooked chicken fried rice and got ready for a new bar in Midtown- Flip Flops. It was okay… loved the acoustic guitar dude and the music and it was a cute spot –but it was so crowded, like fire code breaking crowded, so you couldn’t get a drink, pee, etc. And it was really chopped up and you were ALWAYS in someone’s way and it was raining. Sigh. Thank god for good friends – we had fun with them! We went to leave and our tab was $60. What? We had 3 beers (Austin) and 2 red bull/vodkas (me). I ask the guy and he asks the girl who served us who confirms it and apologizes and gives us back $28. That’s more like it! I LOVED the sugar free red bulls with peach absolut vodkas!!! And not many calories either! Sucked that they cost $10 a pop but how many do you need? (not many!) We left at 2 a.m. and passed out – great night but glad to be back in bed! At the end of the day I squealed in at a good day: 1,547 calories, 144 carbs and 31 fat grams! Yay – I got to drink, have a good time, treat myself to yogurt, not work out and come out okay – mostly because I cooked/made all of my meals and saved my snacks for alcohol calories!! Here’s what I ate.

Today I woke up well rested and feeling fabulous! I also weighed 118.5. As Austin slept in I made another new breakfast recipe – Potato, Egg & Sausage Burritos! YUM! I ate this when I was little all the time, and I cut calories by only using 1 tsp olive oil, 1 morningstar farms sausage patty, 1 egg/2 tbsp egg whites, and a low carb tortilla. The yummy spices (creole seasoning; garlic powder; salt; pepper) gave the burritos lots of flavor, and each one only had 295 calories, 41 carbs and 8 fat grams! Me and Austin agreed, the potato/egg/sausage mix would heat up well, so we could totally mix this in during the week to have at work – yay!

So yesterday I didn’t go to the gym to do 4 miles, chest, back, biceps, triceps, shoulders and abs…. so I’m going to go today! I think I’ll do 2 miles, then chest/back, then 2 miles, then biceps/triceps, then abs and shoulders last! I’m looking forward to knocking it out later this afternoon, and listening to more of Avalon High – SO cute so far. Here’s what else I want to do today:

Go to T-mobile for bill.
Go to Kroger for groceries
Go to Plato’s Closet
Plan this Week’s Meals – cook/prep several
Hope I can get it all done! Still laying in bed now! Eek!

IMT: Yeah - so random! Cohutta from Real World Sydney was working behind the bar - that was about it!

Haha i totally failed with my rest day and ended up having an amazing workout. I guess i cant be mad at myself but in a weird way i am haha.

Sounds like an awesome weekend! I am rather partial to Red Bull and Vodka myself, although after a Stagette last night staying away from the booze for at least 2 weeks!

I love how organized you are with reporting on what you ate .. probably a big reason you are SO successfull!

ahh the old sf red bull'vodka...always a tasty choice! I'll have to try it with the flavored one next time. And of course, whats not love about their Kareoke machine...I'm seriously obssesed, however, I would prob stay up to 4 am EVERY night if I had one. I'm a dork like that! Glad yall had such a busy/fun/jampacked weekend!

Lisa: It WAS! OMG - I loved it... couldn't have had more than 2 though - that red bull is just SO strong! haha I hear you!!

Mary: it's SO fab! I'm obsessed too! And Shana is so awesome it's a blast to watch her sing!! Oh fun! And RANDOM - i'm trying to bring my lunch (no lean cuisines!) this whole week, too!! let me know what you think of them!!

sounds like a fun weekend. i've heard that redbull and alcohol can be a deadly combination - one is a upper and one is a downer, so they are both trying to get your heart to do different things (pump faster/slower) and some people have had heart attacks. just food for thought!!! let us know about the house! :)
