Days 155, 156, 157 & 158: Hectic Weekend, Major House News & More Progress Pics

WOW girls – I’ve been BUSY! Let’s backtrack!!

Thursday: Ah. My work from home day – always a good day! I got up and got TONS done – had weird eating habits though. Like didn’t get hungry until later in the day, and just kind of ate weird stuff all day. I did go down and walk 4 miles at lunch – so that was good. I ended up getting super motivated around 8 and got more work done, did laundry and cooked a bunch! Great, productive day. I had 1,517 calories, 39 fat grams and 211 carbs. So not bad in numbers… but I ate crap! Lots of it! Here’s what I ate.

Friday: Work was pretty hectic but I was SO GLAD it was Friday! I worked hard, walked 4 miles at lunch with Stacy and then headed to the gym after work for another 1.5 miles, back, biceps and abs. Great workout! I got home in a fabulous mood with lots of energy. Austin was in a great mood too so we showered, ate pita pizzas and called Scott and Mary. They were going out – yay! So we headed over to their place for card games and a fun, bar night. I think me and Mary sang and danced to every song they played – good times! Awesome alcoholic times tend to lead to high calories though - I had 1,967 calories, 181 carbs and 40 fat grams. Eek – high day! But with my 5.5 miles factored in it’s not too bad, right?! Here’s what I ate.

Saturday: After progress pictures (and on very little sleep) we headed over to Amanda’s at 10 a.m. with Reuben in tow! When we got there she was still printing out some stuff so we played with the helium tank. I almost passed out. Good times. The house hunting commenced – long story short: We saw lots of houses. I liked one. I loved another. The rest weren’t for us. We got home and were just so wired about that house. Like OMG – what should we offer? What should we do? Amanda called after having talked to the seller’s agent and it looked promising that he was motivated. OMG yay! We decided that the one we loved needed to be seen again, along with the old one we liked, so we scheduled a visit with Amanda for Sunday at 4 p.m. So we cleaned up some, showered and then had our buddies Andy & Mon over for game night/drinking/catching up. We had a BLAST! Time flew by and before we knew it I was about to pass out at 3 – eek! Good times with great friends though – can’t beat it. I ended up at 1,853 calories, 201 carbs and 29 fat grams. Not bad! I went over from drinking again – imagine that! Here’s what I ate. Oh here's some pics! Most of my jeans are too big - boo - I cringe when I think of the $ spent on AGs, Rock & Republics, People's Liberation, Hudson's, etc. What are you going to do though? I'm going to try eBay! :)

Sunday: Today was CRAZY! I got up at 9 a.m. for no reason which left me with 6 hours of sleep – DANG! I was just so nervous and excited about the houses that I couldn’t STAND it! So I cooked a few different recipes, made Austin’s coffee and made our breakfast. I had to be at Pottery Barn at 11 a.m. for the class with mom and sister so before I knew it it was time to go! I raced across the street to the mall and found out that the class was at 10 a.m. not 11 a.m. What? The invite said 11 a.m. The girl who ‘took my reservation’ told me 11 a.m. Sigh. Uncool. We decided to stay and shop around and found great deals! I mean – WOW deals – I got three huge frames (each for $8), 3 probably 16” rectangular vases (each for $3 – I’m not kidding), a linen/burlap runner with trim for $8, bags of natural pinecones (each for $3) and all kinds of stuff – AWESOME! Mom and Sis are awesome – I saved so much $ it’s not even funny! After PB Sis had to run to meet her husband for a photography session so me and mom ran to my place, unloaded the car, I cooked lime chicken, made my grocery list and we headed out to Target (bought nothing), Pier 1 (bought one lamp) and Marshall’s (bought 1 picture frame). Then Sis was dropped off with us and we picked up Austin and headed up to Ballard Designs before meeting Amanda, and Austin’s aunt and uncle at House #2. Everyone loved house #2 and we did a great assessment. Then we headed to house #1 and no one liked it nearly as much as house #2 (or at all, really) and so we went back to house #2 to look again, make final notes, and discuss next steps. We left there around 6 and went straight to Kroger… then Trader Joe’s… then cooked pita pizzas while unloading the groceries. After dinner we got together the final house stuff (stipulations, notes on disclosure, etc.) and are now in bed like WHOA – where did our weekend go? I’m so very excited and hope that we hear from our lender ASAP and are able to put an offer down tomorrow…. WOW. I could be out of here next month – amazing. Anywho – off to bed now! Today I ended up at 1,288 calories, 161 carbs and 32 fat grams – think it was on the low side since I was high the other two days. And I just wasn’t hungry – ran on adrenaline all day!! Here’s what I ate.
Can't wait to go read your blogs! I hope you all had great weekends! :)

goodluck on that house! always great to have family input in such big decisions - esp since aunts/uncles/parents are normally more experienced in that area!!!

yay on the jeans! whoa, you spend ALOT on jeans - I cringe when I see that Express jeans are $70 - thankfully we got mine on deep discount during black fri when mom bought me a pair - and sadly they are falling off :( hehehe its a great feeling!

Once my clothes get "big" I will probably hang on to some at my parents house (for future pregnancy purposes?? we're talking years from now FYI) and I think I will send a bunch to my friend to sell for me - she has an ebay business and shes getting ready to open a consignment shop so was asking for my ann taylor loft and express stuff :)

I have the EXACT same problem with all of my pricey jeans, and I can't bear to throw them out, either. I'm considering eBay but also just getting them tailored in. I mean, that is a lot of money, and I think they can take them in up to several inches. Maybe something to look into?
I'll cross my fingers on the house for you!!

look at those muscles! : ) and what a find on that house - can't wait to see pictures of it. and i'm eager to hear about your ebay experience. i, too, am a sucker for designer jeans, and usually end up giving them away to family members i know who can wear them but would love the extra $$ too : )

Woo baby, look at those arms muscles! I think I'm most motivated when my arm muscles start to become defined. Because my legs are naturally muscular and fit, my arms are the hardest to tone--I get happy.

AWESOME about the casa!! Hopefully this one will work out for yall! We had such a blast on Fri too...def some fb worthy pics of us breaking it down and seranading Austin - good times! I seriusly got tired just reading about your Sunday - good thing you got all your errands done bc I am planning on tackiling mine after work today (see: not fun). Booooo about the jeans! Def try to sell them on ebay - i think you'll get the most $$ there instead of a consignment shop. And YAY for the AWESOME progress pics - the arms look FAB!! Which way to the gun show?! :)

You look great! And that's very exciting about the house.

What about Plato's Closet? You could sell your jeans there, maybe. I'm not sure how much money they give. I went in there once with a big bag of clothes and they took one shirt and gave me a dollar!

Sarah W: Thanks! It's looking good so far- i'm so excited! Oh definitely - they do and it just feels great to have support from those you love and trust the most. hehe I do! I love designer jeans. However, I usually only get 2-4 pairs a year at buy-one-get-one-free boutique sales so really... it's not too bad! It IS a great feeling!! That's a good idea - i didn't think of that. Oooh - nice hookup at eBay!

Thinspired: Right! Blah. That's a good idea - especially my FAVORITE ones - the Hudson's and my 2nd fav - the R&Rs! Thanks, girl!

HK: :) Definitely! I'll have to post some!! Right? I hate that about spending a lot on clothes. But jeans were always that one thing I would splurge on - now I see why some peep only splurge on shoes and bags!

DG: thanks, girl! haha you're so funny! Thanks - really - it's so nice to hear!

Prettface: thanks! I hear you - mine "areas" are abs and thighs - if I see definition there i'm like YES - i'm awesome. hehe to be honest i've always had pretty muscular arms - I just think they look better now that they've got less weight on them!

Mary: I hope so too! hehe Oh my - can't wait to see them - such a good time! haha yes - Sunday was LONG - but yes, i did it so I could come straight home today - plan to be asleep by 9:30! hehe thanks - I think they're really toning up. Hope you had smooth errands today, girl!

Stacy: Thanks SO much! Walking with you all the time DEFINITELY makes it easier - and more fun. :) hehe love it! will do!

Inmytummy: Thank you! hehe that’s happened to me there before, too – they’re so picky!! It’s worth a shot though!

OH By the way, I think ebay is great for selling jeans. I, too, am a designer jeans girl and I've sold several pairs (Joe's, Citizens, etc) that became too big for me, and they sold for a GREAT price! Eben worn. And I see why, because even I am known for going and buying a pair of jeans that are designer, that are cheaper than in store. DO IT! :) Those jeans look like they're in good condition. I'd buy them if I could get my long legs into them. BAHAHA They'd be capris on me. Imagining that makes me giggle.

FIrstly...you look fab! I see the diff. Way to go, girl! You should be absolutely thrilled!

Secondly, when will you see the house again and this time are you going to get some pics? I reaaaaalllllly hope it's THE ONE if you two love it so much. Good neighborhood, too? Can't wait to hear more!

LOL on the jeans...I KNOW! It's so painful to have such wonderful items that no longer fit. I bought a pair of fat pants over Christmas when NOTHING fit me and vowed to get back into my 2s before the wedding...It's motivating to only have ONE pair of jeans that fits...so motivating that they're big on me now so I can almost wear all my faves again! Ebay should do it!

Lastly...ugh! All my calories come from not passing up drink time with friends. The weekends kick my ass in that regard...back to running six miles a day during the week and hoping that'll help!

Looking forward to more house and progress updates!
