Netflix on Demand…Dangerous!

Hola, I’m still making it! Thanks for your get well messages - you guys rock! And I even feel a little better!! (still pretty much a vegetable though)

Yesterday went as planned, except I got to spend more time with Austin than expected – woo! He stayed home with me like a doll baby – love it. He's still not 100% either.

Happy/sick family :) Can you see little Reuben?! haha

Me, him and Reuben watched Flash Forward and a few West Wings before I passed out from an exhausting day of blogging, watching Desperate Housewives and napping on and off. I will say that my medicine seems to be working – yay! I made a new recipe, too, but didn’t take pictures. Austin ate it for dinner, but we have 3 more servings so I’ll take a pic: Slow Cooker Chicken Burritos. Love. Anywho, I ended up at 1,583 calories, 181 carbs, 60 fat grams and 90 protein grams. Here's what I ate. Would have been significantly lower but I ate my weight in M&Ms. They were good…

Today I woke up at 8 a.m. feeling better. I took Reuben outside, packed up my “sick bag” (Kleenex, medicines, cough drops, iPhone, book and laptop) and took it to our upstairs den (Austin was still sleeping). There I recalled that we have Netflix on demand. Danger! I hooked it up and have been fast at work uploading shows and movies from Netflix. I’m now watching Season 3 of Friday Night Lights and Season 1 of The Tudors. Love. I also watched this awful movie called The Clique. So bad. Hehe I think I’ll be in here all day. Or until Austin kicks me out to play Call of Duty with his friends. We’ll see! The downtime DID give me a chance to make a new meal packet (#5 in the new format, peeps!), so Austin’s going to go to the grocery store. Yay!

I still have zero energy. I tried to make a new breakfast and got so tired cutting the veggies. Then the breakfast was a bust and had to be thrown out. Sad!! Oh well – I’m done trying to cook today! Hope you’re all having great Saturdays!!

"The Tudors" makes everything better, even illness! I have Seasons 1 and 2 (I buy the DVDs since I don't have SHOWTime.) Isn't Jonathan Rhys Meyers hilarious when he does his "intense Henry VIII face"?

It sounds like your sort of on the mend. Reuben and Austin must be taking good care of you!

I'm happy to read that you're feeling a little better. :)

I've heard nothing but good things about "The Tudors". :)

You are so darn cute even when you are sick! Netflix on Demand - yeah - I am refraining from that one. I'm bad enough with regular OnDemand on cable. Love "The Tudors" - can't wait for Season 4 to start (when??).

What's with the new food packet format? Please share.

Sorry you missed all your fun on Friday. Feel better soon.

Sorry you're sick!! I hate that!! I was sick with zero energy last weekend and it is no fun at all. Hopefully you're feeling better soon!

Thanks for your sweet comment about my halloween costumes!! You are a doll and definitely you should do the juno costume! It's warm, comfy, and pretty easy to put together! :) I'm about to send you an email about it... ;)

Sunny: it's amazing! as is hulu - thanks for the reminder, I tend to neglect hulu!!

Mica: I watched some of season 1 last year on a visit to see a friend, but Austin has seen none. I hope to get him addicted!! I am sort of on the mend - thank GAWD. I'm not a pleasant sicky.

Erica: Thanks! They've been troopers all weekend!

Pissy: I am - thanks again for taking care of me this week!! We'll have to watch it when you come over this week!

Jacey: aw thanks! Yes - the only minor caveat - you must have XBox 360 to play them on your home TV. That game system FINALLY does females everywhere a favor - woo! Oh same packet you've seen - that's my newest one and I just did the 5th one! I'll send in case you want another! Thanks!

Andrea: I did! I thought of you and your 'no tv' and realized I should have REALLY caught up on my reading. Boo!

Homecookedem: oh no - it's definitely going around for sure! Def - I worked on it this morning - only need one thing - woo! Yay - I wrote you back!! Hope we can meet up!

Hi, I hope you are starting to feel better. I found your blog a couple of months ago and I love it! You have done so well keeping up your new lifestyle. That's what I'm working on right now, making it stick. I love all of your recipes, and I made the crockpot soup yesterday and it is awesome! Thanks for sharing, I hate to cook but you make it seem simple!
