My workout...
Potholder - hehe only $1 since it's a bit off season
New Towels - love! I got two sets of 6!
And my favorite - an apron, my first one! Only $6!!
We also got fro-yo – fabulous! Shana had lots of luck with new work clothes – she starts a new job Monday, I’m so happy for her! I got home around 5:30, had dinner, showered and headed over to Scott and Mary’s! We hadn’t seen them in too long so it was great to catch up, have some drinks and chill. We went to Neighbor’s with them, Jay, Mark and Ruje and had a few more drinks and apps, then it was back home where we stayed up way too late chatting!
What a fun day! I ended up at 2,222 calories, 249 carbs, 34 fat grams and 85 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.
Saturday Reuben woke us up at Scott and Mary’s ready to go HOME! So we got up, changed, brushed our teeth and headed out! We hit up Trader Joe’s on the way home. Love it. Then picked up Austin’s car and dropped it at the oil change place. I then made a meal plan and watched Gran Torino with Austin – SO good. I was so impressed with Clint Eastwood and the story and how I was constantly on the edge of my seat to see how it was all going to play out. Great movie, very reminiscent of Finding Forrester for us. We love that mentor/mentee relationship!
After that we watched Notorious… apparently we were feeling the gangsta/thug life films. It was okay – I’d honestly almost forgotten about all of that west coast/east coast stuff – such a huge deal. Crazy. I also didn’t realize he died at 24 OR that he was married to Faith Hill. Interesting. We then went to Kroger to finish up the grocery shopping, then back home to watch Jaws. Love it. I've always been obsessed with sharks!! What I loved more was going to Wikipedia to see the trivia – lots of great stuff!
I fell asleep watching the last part of Jaws – lovely! I must say, it was SO nice to stay home and chill with Austin and not go out. The weather was awful (very cold + very rainy = ew) which gave us a nice reason to stay in. We also made guacamole and I preceded to eat it for dinner – way too much of it (I forget how it adds up). It was awesome!! I need to post the recipe we used. I closed out Saturday at 1,828 calories, 206 carbs, 84 fat grams and 77 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.
Today I slept in, finished up some Christmas presents, bummed around and then headed to the gym and walked 2 miles, ran 1 mile, walked 1 mile, hopped off and did chest/triceps and shoulders, then hopped back on to run 1 mile and walk 1 mile – great workout! It took me 1 hour and 42 minutes, and I burned 428 calories!
Then it was time to make meals: 4 servings of English muffin breakfast pizzas, 4 servings of a new sausage spaghetti, 4 servings of a new tortilla casserole, and 4 servings of lemon pepper chicken with artichokes and mushrooms. I also did laundry, dishes, and more – GREAT productive day. I ended up at 1,584 calories, 204 carbs, 57 fat grams and 75 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

There are ton of childhood movies i'm still obsessed with. Clue, She-devil, The Incredbile Shrinking Woman, Mannequin and Emmet Otters Jug Band Christmas to name a few.
I <3 gucamole. It may add up so to speak but its chock full of healthy fats and its CLEAN. Nothing bad for you at all!!
I like the kits at TJ's.
Avocado
Vine ripened tomato (i like chunky gucamole)
jalepeno
garlic
dash of cumin!
I put onions in mine but hubby hates onion so i havent been putting it in as much

Have you ever had the guacamole at Tin Lizzy's? It's my favorite, they have huge chunks of avocado.
I liked Adventures in Babysitting and Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Also when I was in middle school, I was obsessed with Point Break.
I love guacamole!!! I just use the avocados, salsa, and a little garlic salt. Yummy :-)
I love the guac....Any kind is a friend of mine.
My favorite childhood movies are a long list....Goonies, Breakfast Club, and much more.
i just got my very first apron and it was a william sonoma one too!!! :) twinsies!
what a fun weekend! I loved Gran Torino - definitely one of my favorites recently.
I love guac - I use tomatoe, onion, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and some bell pepeers sometimes - oh and some cilnatro!
When I was younger I would call it "guaca-yucky".
however, my taste buds have taken a turn for the better and I am starting to like it! WHOOHOO.
PS- that's an adorable pot holder.
We loved Grand Torino too! Very good flick.
You know I just had guac for like the first time a year ago. I like it, but I would still would choose plain salsa any day for my chip dippage :)
I love Williams Sonoma! All of your WS stuff looks so nice. I love the pumpkin pot holder!!
For my guacamole, I keep it simple. I just mash up an avocado and add garlic salt and that's it! Much lower cal than adding in sour cream. I've also heard that some people put in plain greek yogurt. I bet that'd be good too! :)
Wow, you don't mess around on your walks! Your heartrate was soarin'!
My mom swears by the packets for amazing guacamole. She always brings it to parties and people love it, never suspecting it's not completely homemade!
Home Alone lover right here! :)
You got great deals at Williams Sonoma!
I love guacamole. I usually make it with lemon and/or lime juice, salt, pepper, tomatoes, garlic, onions, & peppers (optional, depending on who will eat it; none if the toddler is around).
Have a great week!
sounds like you got tons done this weekend. guac is my favorite!! i keep it simple... avacado, lime, 1 garlic clove minced, salt, and a little green onion. now i want guac!!!
Guess who's back on the blogger stalking :) Soooo I had a blast with yall on Friday and I thought this might be a fabu way of keeping up wih the life and times of Kel during the work week!! I digress...
LOVED Gran Torino - like seriously had c rush on CLint Eastwood after that one (creepy, i know - ha!) and Gauc is to die for, but I still love me some cheese dip- actually them together along with some cheap mexican restaraunt chips is pure bliss. Way to kick ass on the workout - esp Sun!! Keep it up! I think you've inspired me to finally get a heart rate monitor. holler.
I've always resisted an apron but yours is so cute! I actually might wear one like that. I haven't seen Jaws in years, I think it's time again.
I LOVE Gran Torino ... such a good movie!
Haha, I can especially relate to Home Alone and Mighty Ducks ;)
I LOVE guac! The Wholly Guacamole brand is the best!
I'm a big fan of the outlets; they're a bit of a haul for me from ITP but I still make the drive a few times a year because it's totally worth it! Love that apron!
OMG I love Williams and Sonoma!
I'm also internally like 12 and still adore a ton of those old kids' movies- Sandlot, Now and Then, Clueless.. i hope you're having a great night dear! :)
"Jaws" and guacamole (while the weather is gross outside, too!) sounds awesome!
I usually put lime, cilantro, and tomatoes in my guacamole. The pre-made stuff grosses me out, unless it's from Chipotle.
Nice to See. I will come back again.
Keep it up.
Enjoy

I love guacamole but keep it simple with avocado, salt pepper, onion, cilantro and lime. Perfect.

Hi, I just found your blog. Great idea to prepare meals in advance. It's such a time saver and really helps on those nights when you just don't feel like cooking.

Loved the first Sister Act movie, the one after that sucked.
Pretty in Pink is another fav - got my daughter hooked on that too!
And my daughter and I both love any movie with Drew Barrymore- Never Been Kissed being the best!
Firstly, I love GUAC!! We make it all the time. My girls love it too!
OMG, you brought back so many memories with some of the movies you listed. I loved Adventures in Babysitting!!!
Mmm, Guacamole is my favorite! Can't wait to try our your recipe. My fiancee keeps begging me to watch Gran Torino with him too, but it never seemed that interesting, guess i'll have to give it a shot now... ha!
Oh, and by the way, Notorious was married to Faith EVANS, not HILL. Haha! :)
Love reading your posts, your a great inspiration!
I love guac too. Sometimes I fill it out with celery, capsicum and tomato to make it lower in fat per gram. yum yum.
Hi, I wanted to let you know how much I love your blog, so glad I stumbled upon it one day. Someone might have already asked this but I couldn't find it in your posts...what kind of watch to you wear to count calories? What brand/model is it?
