More Shopping, C25K Workout, Cooking Marathon (again!)

Yay! Sounds like there’s LOTS of gamers out there – love it! Thanks for you sweet comments about our newest purchases!! We’re very happy with them! So happy with them in fact that we popped up yesterday and went out to do some more “Austin Shopping!” We had SO much luck! We hit up Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, Adidas and Steve Madden. He got 3 pairs of shoes, 1 adidas hoodie (sounds kinda lame but it’s really cool – more like a coat), 1 pair of dark straight leg Seven jeans, and a couple of UGA vintage shirts for his bros! I found another dress- my last one for a while… I really don’t need anymore, but it was an Urban Outfitters Sale Dress (silence and noise) for $30! Here’s some pics.

After the stores we hit up PetSmart, Trader Joe’s and Kroger – loaded up on groceries- then we headed home and I cooked up the following:

4 servings of guacamole

4 servings of chicken fried rice

4 servings of sweet & spicy chicken tacos

4 servings of white chicken chili

4 servings of beef tacos

4 servings of meatball pizzas

WOO! I was about to start breakfast but I realized 2 hours had gone by so it was time for the gym! I headed over in the POURING rain and my swipecard wouldn’t work. O. M. G. It took me 5 minutes to get in the gym and then I was the only one there. CREEPY! Thank gosh someone else showed up soon after while I was still stretching – then it got crowded quick. Anywho! I got on the treadmill, ready to hit up C25k Week 3 Workout #1! Here’s how it goes:

1 – 5 minutes: warm up; walking at 4.0

5 – 7.5: running at 6.3

7.5 – 9: walking at 4.0

9 - 12: running at 6.3

12 - 15: walking at 4.0

15 – 16.5: running at 6.3

16.5 - 18: walking at 4.0

18 - 21: running at 6.3

21 - 24: walking at 4.0

24 – 30: cool down; walking at 4.0

I did the above which ended up being 2.25 miles in 28 minutes and 30 seconds burning 147 calories. Then I hopped on the elliptical machine for 10 minutes at resistance 5 (1 mile) burning 69 calories, then I hopped back on the treadmill for ¼ mile which took me to 236 calories burned. Then it was time for legs! I did the following:

15 step ups with each leg

20 squats

20 ball leg lifts

20 calf raises

20 sumo squats

REPEAT

I ended up getting 3.5 miles + legs burning 318 calories in 58.47 minutes! Then I headed home, showered and packed up for my trip! I also had a FABULOUS pizza that I wanted to show you but dang it if I left my camera upload cord in Atlanta. Don’t fear! I’ll try to take pictures with the cameras I brought for work or with the dreaded iPhone. Anywho – ended up at 1,610 calories, 203 carbs, 55 fat grams and 73 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

K – about 30 minutes from landing in Vegas now – WOO! Can’t wait to catch up on your blogs – sadly I’m TERRIBLY BEHIND!!

Did you buy anything fun this weekend?

Did you meal prep this weekend?

Great finds!
I havent shopped in a while, I still have this thing where I want to lose more weight before I buy anything new.

I've started meal planning a few meals a week but I havent started cooking them in advance. Does it usually take you around 2 hours? How much time do you generally "put aside" to cook all the meals for the week?

have a great week!

No meal prepping for me this weekend. I was a total slacker. I did get in some exercising though!! That's always a plus.

I'm so jealous you get to go to VEGAS!

You are seriously a cooking machine. I guess once you get on a roll though might as well go with it!
