New Kitchen Stuff, Birthday Party, Engagement Party, House Fun and No Exercise

You guys! Great suggestions for my ankle issues- love it! I tried the stretch on Friday and already felt a difference, and I’m definitely going to try that shoe store suggestions when it’s time to get my next pair. Thank you thank you! You guys had some serious weekend workout plans! I did… but didn’t work out Saturday or Sunday! Dang! And furthermore, I’m STILL behind on blog reading. Sad! Here goes this post – backing up to Friday, then I’m off to catch up with you all!

Friday I worked, walked 4 miles at lunch (burned 221 calories) with Stacy, worked and then headed to Lowe's to buy the rest of our stainless steel appliances - woo! So exciting - here's what I got!

After Lowes I headed straight home to shower, eat and then hit up Twain’s for Mary T’s birthday celebration! We had such a good time seeing her and Scott and visiting their friends – great turnout and lots of fun.

We left Twain’s and hit up an Irish pub, then brick store, then we ended up somewhere random next door to brickstore taking jager bombs. Shiz… GREAT time but not what I had in mind (supposed to be a light night – but once we stayed at my mom’s in walking distance from the bars I knew it was going to be a late night!). I ended up at 1,921 calories, 207 carbs, 19 fat grams and 77 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

Saturday we slept in until 10:30 then headed back to our place! On the way we stopped at, I kid you not, McDonald’s – first time in a long time and it wasn’t good. Blah. I had nuggets and a small fry. It all tasted the same, none of it fresh, and all of it salty. Sad! I got home and did some stuff around the house, took a nap, and hung out with Reuben. Austin went to go play poker! I also planned our meals for the week and made a grocery list for next week’s party! Then it was shower time and time to head up to Acworth for Stacy and Shane’s engagement party! Unfortunately I took no pictures, but we had SUCH a great time getting to know their friends, eating a yummy catered Mexican menu, having a few drinkies and meeting their great parents. Good times! Here's two pics I snagged off of facebook!

I ended up at 2,008 calories, 199 carbs, 70 fat grams and 92 protein grams (lots of estimates but definitely +/- 100 calories!). Here’s what I ate.

So I didn’t work out Saturday as planned but decided to Sunday… but then I slept in and did nothing. I was SO chill and relaxed and just wanted to read my book! Also, my sister is house hunting and put an offer on a house, so I hit up Decatur around 2:30 and went to see it. It’s SUCH a great space – can’t wait to see what happens next! I got to walk all through the space with her, her husband and her in-laws, deciding where to put furniture, what to change, etc. Around 4:30 we headed back to her place, went by my mom’s to pick up my phone that I left there Friday, then I was off to Kroger, Trader Joe’s and then home by 7. Long day! I got home and cooked a new recipe for dinner (I’ll post it tomorrow!). Now I’m in bed catching up on your blogs – I’m so dang behind – grrrr.

Hope you all had great weekends - "see" you soon!!!

I love Twains. I haven't been there in probably six months. I need to go back. Perhaps another blogger get together should be there?!

Looks like you had a fun night!

I am so jealous of your stainless steel appliances. So far I only have the fridge and dish washer that we have replaced. Next is the stove. Slowly but surely everything will match :)

Dang that's a lot of stainless! I bet those cost a pretty penny. We need a range/microwave so badly! I microwave takes up too much counter space :(

Get that vodka girl! Oh and McDonald's always sounds like a good idea when I am hungover (or at least the last time I had it like 6 months ago) but then I always feel icky and regret it. Wish I could remember that before I eat it!

I love your new appliances... especially the stove!

Random, but Stacy is the girl that you work with, right? If so, i can't imagine what it's like to commute from Acworth (my parents live there) to Dunwoody every day!
