Hi Friends! Sorry for the mini blogging break – just needed to unplug for a bit ya know? But, I will say some good stuff’s been happening!
Friday: I had a wonderful lunch with my two fave work peeps – Stacy and Mel. We went to Chequers and actually bumped into our big boss who picked up our lunches – SO sweet! Me and the girls had a great chat/vent sesh and I feel a lot better about the goings on at work – no more crying. :) Thanks for your support… I feel like I complain about work a lot but honestly, I feel like it’s about to start getting better. I can feel it! After work me and Stacy went down for C25K. I was the day to do C25K Week 6 Workout 2 – 2 10-minute runs. I did it but it SUCKED. I think it was because I went out to eat at lunch – I just felt full and icky. I did the 3 miles in 33.31 minutes and burned 207 calories. Then I felt sick like dizzy – not cool! But then I had some water and felt better, and we did an upper body circuit that burned an additional 70 calories – great day! (277 total burn!) Then I headed home, had dinner and some drinkies with Austin and enjoyed the lovely weather! Great end to the week! Stats: 2,109 calories, 207 carbs, 47 fat grams and 94 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.
Saturday: We slept in – glorious! Drove over to B’ham to visit with his family and celebrate E’s 18th birthday! We got home some vintage UGA t-shirts that he liked (yesss) and then me and his mom spent the day together while him, E and his dad went golfing. Me and Michelle probably talked for 2 hours straight – great convos!! Then it was time to go out to eat and then home for a movie. Another great, relaxing day! No workouts - wasn't ready to get back to it yet! Stats: 1,791 calories, 165 carbs, 49 fat grams and 10 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.
Sunday: Woke up at 8 a.m. itching to get back to the gym and redeem Friday’s horrible run! The gym didn’t open until noon so I spent the morning planning Austin’s upcoming 30th birthday party! He FINALLY got back to me on what he wanted so I’m SUPER pumped to get to work!!Then around noon the gym opened, so me and Austin's mom and dad drove over. I was determined to get on the treadmill and do C25K Week 6 Workout 3 – my longest run yet – 25 minutes straight at 6.3 mph. I DID IT! I walked for 5 minutes then ran for 25 minutes – 3 miles in 30 minutes burning 186 calories. I stayed on the treadmill for another 1.5 miles walking at 4.0 – burning a total of 335 calories (including a bit of ab work at the end). Nice Sunday workout! Now I’m about to head back to ATL – I’m PUMPED though about the great workouts and ready to get home and get settled back in to what I REALLY think will be a GREAT week! When I get back I get to read blogs – YAY – tres behind – sad!
Do you ever take blogging breaks? I find that I take one almost every weekend – but love getting back to it!
What did you do this weekend that made you proud?! Mine is definitely the run today – woo! I still can't believe I ran for 25 minutes straight... love it. I honestly felt like I could go longer - SO cool that it built up that way!

Great job on the 25 minutes! The Couch to 5K really works. Jason is doing it too, he's on Week 4.
When is Austin's 30th? Jason's is in September and I have no idea what to do for him. I guess I have time. (Yes, I am 2 years older than him!)
great job on the workout.
your house is really coming together. love the granite in your kitchen.
Lots of people are turning 30 this year! Haha, well, I guess people turn 30 every year, but this is the first year I know of a lot of people turning 30, haha! ;) We just went to a 30th bday party last night!! I'm excited to hear about what all you have planned for Austin!!
I definitely take breaks from blogging every now and then. I think it's a good thing b/c I always come back so happy to catch up on everyone's blog and update my own. I love everything about blogging! :)
Way to go on the run!! Let me know if you ever want to go on a run together!! :)
You're turning into such a runner, whether you like it or not! Great job on sticking with the plan! :)
I was proud of the fact that I got out of bed in time for an early yoga class this morning! Not many people show up for it so I always get lots of personal attention, which is good and bad.
Yay! The range looks great!
Good job on the C25K program; you are kicking its ass, lady!
I think that unplugging every once in a while is so healthy! I love taking an occasional night off from blogging; I always come back to it feeling much better!
AWESOME run, Kel!!! Good for you! :)
I usually take at least one day off over the weekend to have more time to do things with my family and friends. It is always needed, but then I am refreshed to blog again afterwards. :)
And oh! I checked into interlibrary loan so I can pick up some of the books you were talking about! Yay! I'm so excited to read them :)
Great job on the run! Your kitchen looks awesome (like the rest of your house). Remember, I imagine I live there when things get crazy around here... ;)
I ran outside yesterday, and I'm very proud! I think I'll try to get back into running. I have a weak ankle that I've injured many times over the years, so I'll have to be very careful. But I think I'm finally old enough to be smart... :)
The shiny appliances look great!
And congratulations on a major milestone in running. Isn't it crazy that how quickly your minutes add up--and how great you feel about running that far? Woohoo!
Your kitchen is SO pretty! Every photo I see of your house makes me a tiny bit jealous--it looks like a beautiful home :)
I take breaks from blogging on the weekends. Sometimes, I need some time away from the computer!
All your appliances are so shiny and sparkly! Love.
