Nordstrom, Twilight, Calorie Cutting

Thanks for your lighting support! I hope it goes well - eeeeeek! I'm with ya - fuzzy/fun photos can be cool, but clear perfect are pretty fabulous too!! So Wednesday was a pretty good day! It was quiet so I got lots done at work – nice! I was a bit sore so I decided to take my lunch to Nordstrom! I had SO much luck. Here’s some of the stuff I got!

The loot: 4 Dresses, 3 tops, 1 skirt (think I may take the orange shirt back though - had gotten it for AU football but once home I realized it's a little thin - BOO)

Me and Reuben - in the new top and skirt!
New Dress - plan to wear to my reunion next week (Friday night/casual night). I swear I'm not a bobble head - odd pic!

Love the crossed back!

Reuben had a photo shoot too - even though he didn't get any new clothes yesterday!
New dress - simple - they had TONS of these in different color combos all for $22! Love the pockets
This one has sleeves, and buttons down the front!
I got this one, too - but got bored trying on stuff and having Austin take pictures. hehe
'
Because I spent >$100 I got two free tickets to see Twilight the night before it releases, January 29 at Phipps!!
See, Austin got bored taking pictures - here is a pic of the peasant shirt - love it

So after shopping I worked more and then RIGHT at 5 the sky fell buckets. It was CRAZY raining. I headed home worried I would get stuck down there if I didn't leave. I had every intention of going to the gym... but instead I tried on clothes, had dinner with the family and hung out. oopsie!! I'll make up for it today!! I ended up at 1,622 calories, 219 carbs, 27 fat grams and 105 protein grams. Here's what I ate. I haven't really talked about yet, so new, but on Sunday I decided to cut calories a bit. While I was still TRACKING, I wasn't tracking with a goal really... and the weight was adding up. So I'm now shooting in the 1,500 - 1,650 range - so far it's going okay and my weight seems to be tapering down a bit (was 123 Monday; 120.5 today). I know it will level but want it to trend DOWN not UP like has been. The calorie game is such a beast.

Q: Do you plan to see Twilight?

Q: Any good shopping adventures for you lately?

Q: Do you track calories/have calorie goals?

you are the queen of dresses! I think my favorite one is the stripes with the criss cross in the back.

Hey Pretty Lady!! Love all of your new outfits!! Shopping is so much fun. I went to Target last night and got tons of boring stuff - lots of comfy sleep shorts and tanks to where while lounging around the house. So not sexy, but sooooooo comfortable. LOVE them!! I also got a sexy red dress to make up for my homeliness and a new pair of jean shorts. Oh yeah, and a pool cover-up!!

You make me want to go shopping. I love dresses. Any excuse to not wear pants, right?

Also, Reuben is adorable. Makes an excellent photo sesh prop. :)

I love your new clothes, so pretty!

I track Weight Watcher points. I have 5.8 more pounds to lose and then I will start maintenance again. I don't go to WW meetings. I feel less pressure by doing this on my own.

I recently had a shopping spree at Ann Taylor outlets. Oh my it was fun!

Super cute stuff!

I plan to see Eclipse, but probably not on opening day. I'll probably go that weekend though, I can't wait!! :)

hi girlie! love the new clothes. the last purchase i made was a pair of kate spade shoes ("carly") - they're gold and silver sequined and quite possibly the most lovely shoes i've ever owned.

definitely going to see eclipse.

and, i'm sure you know this about me, but i find it much more effective to count carbohydrate grams instead of focus on calories. i usually try to get protein first (minimum of 80 grams), and then healthy fats, etc - and then if i'm trying to lose weight, between 50-100 carbs. : ) good luck!

My goodness girl, you look fabulous!! I absolutely love all of your purchases. SO jealous of Nordies, I wish we had one in Canada! Those dresses all look great on you too. I am reading the Twilight books! Just started on New Moon, I'm not sure if I should see the 1st movie now though?! My friends are telling me I have to finish them ALL before the next movie comes out. I calorie count on occasion - mainly to make sure I am getting enough protein and iron!

Nice score at Nordstrom!! Don't you just love a successful shopping trip!?!

I count Weight Watcher points so I guess that's kinda like watching calories. :) It keeps me in check (most of the time). :)

Love that style of dress. It's so versatile and flattering! If I see Eclipse, it will be be on dvd. I HATE seeing movies with a buttload of people...especially a buttload of teeny boppers. Hell to the no!

Did you mean June 29th for Twilight?

I'll probably go see it, but I'll sit there being that cynical, grumpy lady that everyone hates. ("THIS IS OFFENSIVE TO WOMEN!!")

Sadly, no shopping adventures. I'm trying to get up the courage to go buy make-up, hahaha.

And um, calorie goals? Bah, I lost some weight while I was abroad because I was walking everywhere. Now, I'm back on the US diet plus not much walking and my weight is back up. Sad times. I'd like to cut calories, but it makes me neurotic.

the outfits are lovely and my favorite has to be the one with the ruffles -- I can't believe those prices! I always assumed Nordstrom was super pricey...

I love the striped dress. And I'm totally digging how those high-waisted dresses are so popular now. They are so comfortable and flattering.

Love the dresses!! I don't know if I'm going to wait until it comes out on DVD or not. I don't think the hubby would be into the movie, but I think I would!

What kind of shoes are you wearing in your pics and where'd you get them?

Cute clothes!!! I especially love the dress you'll wear to your reunion!

I don't count calories. It seems too overwhelming to keep track of everything (I know, that's the point...). But I am conscious of what I'm eating and have a "rough idea" of how many calories I eat. Lately, I'm also making sure I eat more protein and fewer carbs (I could live on carbs)... It seems to be working.

Have a great weekend!

I'm sure you know I'm totally a calorie tracker, as I've learned that the key is calories in vs. out. Period. I watch my calories in a totally different way now and it's sooo much easier, but tracking them is key.
The funny thing is, you are the queen of dresses and I am the queen of NOT wearing dresses LOL! Not sure why, but I'm totally a pants and heels girl. Dorky.

Seriously in love with all your dresses! Way too beautiful on you! I need to start eating what you do and working out how you do! You're doing absolutely fabulous! I am struggling with losing my last 15 pounds before my August wedding. I am actually freaking out about it.

Ahh, you look so great! Of course, I love seeing the clothes pictures--as soon as I saw the 'loot' I was like, I hope she has pictures with them on! You have great style and love those sandals, they go great with everything.

I don't track calories but I'm currently carrying more weight than I'm comfortable with. Boo. I just have to remember to check in and see how my body feels when I overeat and remember how good it feels when I eat right for my body.
