Wedding, Sweet Larabar Gifty, Slow Sunday, Cooking Time!

Thanks you guys! Good times for SURE - backing up to finish out the weekend!! So on Saturday after my awesome blogger meet up with Erica, we headed back to the hotel with full bellies and took naps. And DUH forgot to tell you about the AMAZING treats she gave me - two new larabars! Be sweeter!

I tried one that afternoon - Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. AMAZING! Thanks again for the great bars, Erica!

So yes, seriously, lights out and all 4 of us crashed! Hehe I also finished Nancy Werlin's Impossible – I’ll do a book review tomorrow! After nap time we got ready and headed to St. Luke’s Chapel for the ceremony. It was a pretty ceremony and the bride and groom looked SO happy. Afterwards we swung back by Caviar and Bananas – I wanted a salad beast SO bad. They handmade me an awesome Grilled Chicken Greek Salad. BOMB. Then we headed to the reception at Hibernian Hall – the second open bar event of the weekend. OMG. They even had red bull. It was on! The band was great, the guests were all about dancing and having fun and it was a blast.

Outside of the reception!

Me and Austin!

Me and Mar!

Austin and Jimmy - yes, we take every possible shot. LOL

Late night with the soon-to-be Steigerwalds!

The groom got so into it - awesome!

So did Andy & Jimmy LOL This may have been during Freebird?!

Mar & Jim broke it down all night! They have routines - it's awesome!! LOL

Me, Kim and Mary with flowers - not sure where Kim found these LOL

Mini Auburn Pike reunion!

The reception

After the wedding we all headed back to Mad River. Guess what, it was PACKED, no longer a private party for sure. We immediately lost everyone so the 4 of us chilled out back, rehashed the evening and then called it a night, stopping back by the hotel to visit with everyone in the lobby. Good times indeed. We headed back to the hotel, bought Amy’s burritos from the hotel, stayed up WAY too late gabbing in our PJs then called it a night.

Sunday we headed out of Charleston, stopped at a Waffle House (OMG...I got a grilled chicken wrap with ranch on the side) and began the long ride back home. I started a new book thanks to your suggestions, Kathryn Stockett's The Help! I read about 50 pages - SO good so far! I also poured through tons of magazines - thanks, Mom! We got in town, visited with Devon/Zach for a bit, stopped to get Reuben and visited with mom for a bit, then got home and immediately cooked up two new recipes: Baked Sausage and Tomato Pasta and Ham Hashbrown Casserole. I went ahead and had the sausage for dinner.... amazing! I'll post recipes and pics this week, as well as the Impossible book review! After that I watched a lifetime movie and called it a night - ending up at 1,449 calories, 185 carbs, 53 fat grams and 60 protein grams. Here's what I ate.

Q: Ever eaten at Waffle House? If so, what do you order? I've only eaten there one or two times before - the menu was tough!

Q: What's your favorite part of a wedding weekend? I enjoy so many things, but my favorite part of this weekend was definitely reuniting with some great college friends and getting to know the bride better!
