10K Training, Trip to B'ham/Football Weekend, Birthday Partay!

Happy Monday! Hope you all had great weekends! Mine was awesome - great way to kick off the new fall season!! Friday was just work, walked 4 miles during lunch, worked more and then around 4 p.m. we headed over to Birmingham for Austin’s brother’s football game! Great to see the whole fam, see Elliot win, etc. – good times!!

Austin & his mom!

After the game we went back to Paul & Michelle’s, had a beer, then called it an early night. I ended up at 1,784 calories, 184 carbs, 55 fat grams and 108 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

Saturday I got up early and hit the gym at Vestavia Country Club to do my run. It was SOOOO hot – not sure if something was up with the AC or what but I had a bad run. :( Had wanted to do 3 miles and was only able to squeeze out 2.5 miles. So I walked ¼ mile at 4 mph, ran 2.5 miles at 6.3 mph, then walked another ¼ mile at 4 mph – 3 mile total. Then I did biceps, triceps, shoulders, back and chest - an upper body circuit – then headed back to get ready. My sis and bro-in-law got in town around 1 and then we headed over to celebrate baby Emma’s first birthday party at an Auburn-tailgate-themed shindig! They had a wonderful turn out, great food, tons of cold beer and a beautiful, happy baby who had the time of her life! We had a great time visiting, watching football, and chillin’.

Birthday girl!

Me & Austin in orange!

Baby Emma smashes the cake!

The ladies! (ensuring that we 'broke up' the orange and blue - love it!)

Love my T & Mar!

Besties! Me, Austin, Jimmy, Mary, Emma, Forrest, Teresa, Dev & Zach

We headed home around 5 for a recharge, then went back over at 7:30/8 for some drinkies with Jimmy/Mary/Teresa/Forrest/Dev & Zach – so much fun! We had a slumber party and it was so fun staying up late talking to the girls! I ended up at (an estimation of) 2,192 calories, 165 carbs, 71 fat grams and 117 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

Sunday we got up, visited and said good byes, had breakfast with Devon/Zach and then got on the road to Atlanta. Austin stayed up a bit too late with the boys, so I drove and listened to my audio book while he and Reuben dozed off. We got home around 4, cleaned a bit, unpacked, did some laundry and watched TV – lazy family night indeed! I ended up at 1,752 calories, 189 carbs, 68 fat grams and 71 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

Today I hope to get in some great workouts and have a cooking marathon!! We’ll see!

Q: What was the best thing you ate all weekend? I had a few too many buckeyes- i.e. chocolate covered peanutbutter balls. O. M. G. I swear I gained a pound on them and it may have been worth it!

Q: Did you work out this weekend?

I'm loving the orange dress! So Fall-esque! I didn't work out this weekend. My back was feeling "off" so I rolled with it. I think the best meal I had over the weekend was a delicious pancake breakfast with the hubs. It was GLORIOUS!

What a great trip. Oh my gosh Emma is SO freaking adorable. Love the tutu. And your dress is super cute too. YAY to college football (even though Penn State lost). Sorry the run was tough- the next one will be awesome to make up for it I bet. I did workout this weekend. Best thing I ate- hmmmm, pretzel from mellow mushroom- tasty!

I sure did work out! And I thought I was going to be sick. HAHA! Body Attack about took me out and I didn't even think about trying to Body Pump after. But it felt good to sweat it all out! :)

Emma is too cute with that fluffy skirt!

I'd have to say our ribs last night were pretty good!

My baked donuts and taquitos did not work out though! :(

Looks like a very fun weekend! Buckeyes sound delicious! And dangerous... :-)

Best thing I ate: simple but yummy caprese salad.

And, yes, I worked out Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, my foot still hurts (injured something during my 13 mile hike last weekend), so I had to cut my cardio way short... :(

Have a great week!

Best thing I ate all weekend was BBQ potato chips. Not the healthiest thing, but I haven't had them in so long, so it tasted amazing!

This weekend I didn't get a chance to workout, I went to a producing conference out of town and then decided to forgo the gym in lieu of Goodwill! It was well worth it, I got a ton of things for less than $50! But I usually try to go to zumba on Saturday mornings. :)

p.s. You look so good in orange!
