Billy Goat Tavern, Comedy Club, Good Times!

Hi! Blogging from Chicago in under zero degree weather - DANG!
Before I get going on yesterday- GREAT DAY - here are pics of my two new coats andmy new boots!!

Nine West rainboots - on MAJOR SALE!

Michael Kors coat - originallly $250 on sale for $86 (I got it in DARK gun metal gray)

Picture in gray - LOVE - and it's keeping me WARM!

Kenneth Cole Coat - (light gray a bit shorter) - on sale for $60. I mean, really.

So yes, no more coats for me, ladies! These will be perfect for our ski trip later this month- yessss. On to Day #1 of Chicago (Monday) was pretty much spent chilling, shopping, eating at the Lux Café for lunch, eating at the Nordstrom Café for dinner, and working out – great day! Day #2 (Tuesday) was much more of a whirlwind! I got up early and headed to a great Ragan seminar! It was awesome you guys, I learned so much and got so many great tips to take back to the office. However, it was enough content for two days. Easily – WOW. We did break for lunch so I headed to Dao, this awesome Thai restaurant – then it was back to Gleacher Center. I even won a book – The Grammar Girl’s Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing! I love awards for participation. :) We went until after 5 p.m., then the CEO of Ragan took us all (seriously – all of us) to this legendary Chicago waterhole, made famous by Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi on Saturday Night Live” called Billy Goat Tavern. He bought us all the classic cheeseburgers and as much beer as we wanted – NICE! I just got one miller lite. Then, I kid you not, he got us all tickets to the country’s #1 comedy club, Second City to see Spoiler Alert Everybody Dies. VERY cool!! Hilarious actually - very SNL, skit-centric. I thought the actors were hilarious and just HEART when they break character a bit! I must say, I’m SO glad I bought those coats yesterday – WOW. It’s like below zero here and, of course, windy. I’m loving it though – so pretty all lit up for the holiday season!

In other news, we booked our flights to see AUBURN PLAY IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. Glendale here we come – I’ve never been do Arizona so I’m doubly excited – WOO! Austin is doing great at home and says the pups don’t miss me TOO much – I miss them all so much!! My time in Chicago ends tomorrow – but it’s been great so far FOR SURE.

Needless to say, no cardio today! I was all for getting in some miles - but with a conference from 8 - 5:30, a happy hour and a comedy show Ragan filled my day!

One final shot today of one of my fave places - Nordstrom. This place is RIGHT next to my hotel - love it.

Can't wait to catch up on your blogs - i'm so behind! Bare with me!!! Prob can't read until tomorrow. :(

Q: Favorite store for everything? I love Target and Macy's for everything! It's been easy to christmas shop at both!

Q: Speaking of Christmas shopping... you done? I have a ways to go... but I enjoy it!

Love your new finds in Chicago - stay warm!

My go-to's are Target, Loft & Amazon/ebay. Christmas shopping is all done for family & friends, just the boy left (which is always the hardest I think!)

That's awesome you guys are going to the game - you'll have a blast I'm sure! Soo jealous of what it's like to have a winning team ;)

When I worked in Chicago I used to pass that Billy Goat Tavern every day on my way to work! Wish I didn't now live 50 miles away from Chicago now - I would have loved to have met you up for a drink!

Have a great weekend Kelly!
