New Pasta Recipe, 5 New Dresses.... I know, I know!

Thanks you guys! I'm so excited about the boots - woo! I wore them yesterday - loved! And Jenny - i'll post that chicken schwarma recipe tomorrow - promises! And thank you for your funny comment about my pre-cooking LOL. I suppose I am a bit of a mad woman when it comes to getting in front of our meals! On another note, and speaking of being a mad woman... I have an addition. I simply cannot pass up a cute dress. Especially if it fits well. And is $30 or less. I mean that's a whole outfit. Insane. Especially if it can be worn yearround. It's like it's FREE. Sigh. I headed to Urban Outfitters today because I remembered what great deals they had but I didn't have time to shop (only time to get that one $20 dress). So I went and kept telling myself i'd just look, maybe i'd find ONE really good deal. Instead, I left with 5 dresses. But note: 2 were $10 each, 2 were $20 each and 1 was $30 - so yes, 5 UO dresses for under $100. Good deal, right? Right? Yes, I knew you'd agree. Here goes!

I got this in a fushia color that I think will look good in summer, spring and fall!
This actually fits really loose and it's much longer. It feels kind of starchy - I like it. I plan to wear with funky leggings and black boots.

In person - this one is much more gray. I think it will be easy to winterize, even with the cut out!
Will be so cute in the summer!
This one probably fits the best - it's hard to tell but it has tan piping and small gold/cream buttons! Like the bustier top - fun for spring and easy to Auburnize with a navy cardigan.
The fifth dress couldn't be found online, and the picture I tried to take didn't do it justice. At all. So i'll post it later, along with the rug which I didn't get around to taking pics of. Instead, yesterday, I just worked, went to the podiatrist during lunch (I'll tell you about it later after I try out the foot pads he gave me!), more work, Urban Outfitters after work, home to Austin (before he left for poker), then laundry + bills + closet organization with the poodles. I also had a phone date with Mary (fun!) and emailed and texted with some buds about the upcoming weekend and our Tacky Sweater Party. Yay! No cardio today. Again. Sigh. 131.5 miles for December is starting to seem impossible. But I'll do the best I can. And I'll stop buying dresses.... maybe. hehe Aside from dresses, I do have a recipe to share! I made this a couple of weeks ago and have yet to share - here goes!

Cheesy Chicken Lasagna (next time Cheesy Chicken Pasta Bake)
Adapted from a Real Mom Kitchen recipe
Makes 6 servings

Nutritional Information: 488 calories, 38 carbs, 14 fat grams and 47 protein grams.

Review: I really like the filling - the evaporated milk added a lot to this dish - it almost tenderized the chicken and mixed with the ranch it had a great flavor. I will say that I was NOT happy with how the top layer of the lasagna came out - too tough. I made notes about what i'm going to do next time (make it more of a pasta bake instead of a lasagna so it cooks more evenly. I think this will make a huge difference and will post the new picture after I tweak it! For now, here is the recipe if you want to check it out (including my suggestions for next time!). Please note: I'm sure Real Mom Kitchen's original recipe is great - I may have just overtweaked it! :)

Q: Have you ever adapted a recipe too much to where you weren't a fan? I came dangerously close to doing that this time... I need to be more careful, there are few things I hate more than a recipe fail! (that's not entirely true - but recipe fails are a pet peeve!)

Q: What are you addicted to buying - like really can't pass up? For me it's dresses and coats. If they're on sale, cute and fit well - they're as good as mine.

I loveeeee the second dress. Very cute/unique. Sounds like a full day!! I've totally over adjusted recipes before. Usually trying to make baked goods TOO healthy. Thats why I always use a little oil in my granola. You NEED that little bit of fat.

I love the first two dresses. So much so that I want to buy them, but I can't because I'm BANNED. haha. I can't stop myself from buying shoes, bags, coats and dresses. Oh and scarves and tops. The only thing I rarely buy is pants. I want to shop so much! Haha.

I love the dresses- they are the same for me, sometimes, it is hard for me to find good ones, so I can't resist them when I do! Grey one is my fav:)

Great dresses!

I used to have a shoe addiction, and I don't allow myself to go look at shoes anymore...

I hardly ever follow a recipe, so, yes, I have adapted things way too much way too often... Hubby actually sometimes says, "Can you please write down EXACTLY what you did this time. It's great." I'm slowly getting the message... :-)

Great prices. I need to get my butt over to UO.

I try to healthify my recipes and sometime they get a little too healthified and aren't good.
