New Chinese Recipe, 2 Miles & Upper Body ST, Kinect Sports

Thanks, invisible friends! Still on a cloud from all of that pre-cooking - it just makes me so happy! Thank you for sharing your ab plans - sounds like you guys mix it up more than me. I was thinking of doing a different ab workout each month and seeing what happens? I dunno - I will say that i'm feeling sore each day after ab workouts so I consider that a success. On another note, i've measured every Friday so far this year (yes, that's two Fridays. I rock LOL). It's going well and I can say that i've definitely put on a couple of inches in the hip area - eek. It's all good though - i'm ON IT!

On to Friday, pretty chill. I got into work around 9:30 (weather hours), worked and walked 2 miles during lunch and did back, biceps, shoulder and tricep exercises. After lunch I worked more, then left the office at 3:30, hit up the library, made appts for Reuben (haircut)/Remy (spay) and SUV (oil change). I got home around 5 and cooked more - duh! I had two more chicken recipes to make and couldn't wait!! Here is one of the ones I made:
Ma Po Chicken
Recipe adapted from Mary Ellen's Cooking Creations
Makes 4 Servings

Nutritional Information: 426 calories, 59 carbs, 6 fat grams and 28 protein grams.

After dinner we had a few beers then settled in for some Kinect bowling - it's SO fun! I think I bowled like a 156 or something - awesome!! I think my favorite part is the little videos it shows of you bowling - hilarious! We also tried some track and field - I'm not a huge fan. After game playing it was time for bed - wonderful Friday, although it felt like Wednesday.

Q: Have you tried Kinect yet? I really like it! Can't wait for Mary T to bring over her dancing game next weekend!

Q: Are you a fan of Chinese food? I can't get enough - i'm always trying to find yummy Asian-inspired dishes to replace my take-out cravings!

When I was growing up, I thought Chinese food was disgusting. It's probably because it was the madre's fav and I couldn't be like her ;). Now I lurve it!

I can't wait to get a Kinect when Ryan get's home! I WILL be getting the dance game! Have a fabulous weekend!

mmm that dish looks tasty - if it's even half as good as the dish I ate at Mary and Jimmys, I will have to try to make this! Me, you and the boys need to play against each other with the sports game - midweek get together dilemma solved! AND a dance off is definitely in order for next weekend (yes, it seriously has a 'dance off' mode) better practice crankin yo'soldia boy :) i think you'll be slightly obssessed

Yum love Chinese food! Fortunately my fiance's family immigrated from China when he was 9 years old and his mom is the greatest cook ever. Every weekend is a treat, hot & sour soup, egg rolls, peanut & rice noodle salad....oh my. And lots of rice to haha. Honestly I don't want to sound like a food snob but authentic Chinese is in a league of it's own, Americans don't know what they're missing out lol Have a good weekend!

I love Chinese from nicer places or at home, but can't stand buffets. They always make me feel sick after. That looks great though!
