New HRM and Smart Water Bottle, Book Review, 4 Miles

Thanks you guys! I appreciate the elliptical help and you're right - they ARE all different -that bothers me! I'll just have to go by my HRM to be sure that i'm the constant since the machines are so variable! Speaking of HRMs, I have exciting news! Kelsey at L2 Communications gave me two exciting products to test out - a great HRM and aSMART water bottle, the hydracoach.

new products!
yes, it "thinks while you drinks" and calculates water intake: Hello, Hydracoach!
Adorbs - i've been testing this one out - it's working GREAT so far! It's a Solo 925 HRM!

I'll post a full review of these products next week but am very excited to be testing them out and so far i'm happy to report that its' going well!!

On another note, I finished Joanne Fluke's Cream Puff Murder. This might be my favorite of hers. The mystery was clever with lots of suspects, Hannah, the main character's, personal side story was cute (it involved her working out to lose weight!) and her relationship life even moved along a good bit. All in all it was a cute, well-rounded story and the appropriate length (sometimes I find her novels run longer than the should - this one had less unnecessary fluff!). I give this one a 4/5.

Now I'm going to start reading our next book club book, Emma Donoghue's Rooom. I've heard this book is great, a recommendation from my mom, and a few of the book club girls have already read it and enjoyed it - YAY! Speaking of book club, last night was our February meeting at Stacy's house. As per usual, great to visit with everyone and we had a another great turn out! Last night there were 10 of us - great group. Fun to catch up after the holidays and learn what everyone has coming up. And great to see our two preggos - they look awesome and are both feeling great! Other than that, yesterday was just spent at work and included a 4-mile walk during lunch. Not too shabby!

Q: Do you have an HRM? If so, do you love it? I truly dislike working out without one now. I'm all "it doesn't count." haha

Q: Would you be interested in a water bottle like this? I'm finding it VERY intriguing - well let's be honest, i'm down for anything that does the work for me and I know so many of us are all about drinking more water!

I feel like I am unable to workout without my HR monitor. I know that's soooo crazy too. I have a Polar but can never remember the number - hubby bought it for me last year. I try really hard to use it as a tool - especially with running rather than getting tied to numbers.

I only have a cheapie HRM. I really want a new one. I think I'll be buying a Garmin before the end of the month!

I have two HRMs. One is in a watch that doesn't track pace but I just wear it on my wrist - no band around the middle. The other is in a watch that tracks pace but has no band. I don't want to wear the band because it's uncomfortable but the one without it has a button you have to push - so you have to slow down to do it. Oy. Exhausting. Can't you tell?

I have a Polar F6, and used it religiously when I first got it. Stopped using it for a bit and now I'm back to using it. I forgot to wear it today and felt the workout didn't count since I wasn't wearing it lol Great minds think alike. ;)

I would like a water bottle like that. I try to make sure that i drink enough water at work, but I forget to keep track sometimes.

I have a HRM that came with my Garmin, but I never use it.

I have a heart rate monitor attachment for my Garmin, though I cannot currently find it. I'm a little distressed...

I just got a HRM for Christmas, and am excited to try it out (once I get it all figured out). That water bottle looks interesting, probably very helpful for remembering and keeping track of water drinking. Can't wait to see your review! Happy Friday!

My heart rate monitor drives me nuts, b/c it always slips down. They need to do one that fits somehow in your sports bra or something. Especially for girls who are sporting DDs!

That waterbottle is so cool! I have been BAD about my water consumption lately.

I have a HRM but I never use it. Probably should... The water bottle sounds cool, but I know I drink enough water. In fact, I sometimes think I drink too much... :-)

Have a great weekend!

I love any kind of gadgets, but usually can't figure out how they work!

Have a great weekend Kelly!

I own a Polar HRM but I am shopping for another one. I would love to test out that HRM you got. I will be waiting for your review.

My polar HRM works well but it just feels uncomfortable when I'm wearing them. I wear it under my bra so I have to constantly adjust it during strength training exercises or when I'm doing sprints.
