I'm a huge fan of couscous. Well really any grain - rice, quinoa, you name it! I'm a fan of carbs really. So Dana hosted a BSI for couscous, BSI being 'Blogger Secret Ingredient.' She requested couscous recipes and I submitted my Mediterranean Wrap. Guess what? It won! Dana chose it which thrilled me as the other recipes sounded wonderful. Check out her Couscous Round-up for 10 couscous-packed recipes!!
My Mediterranean Wrap
On another note, here are some items that are on the menu this week. Our menu is a little off as I had several leftover meals from my last marathon cooking, and I had some in the freezer we're getting to since I didn't feel like cooking. Anywho - here's what we're cooking up this week, once I start feeling better!
Other than the above, i'm trying out a few new recipes (two breakfast ones, a pasta and a rice dish) - I hope they work out!
Q: What are you cooking up in the next few days? Anything new? Anything exciting?
Q: Do you like couscous? Do you have a favorite recipe to share?

sigh! I wish you were 100%. Glad to hear you're getting your meds and lots of water in though. Congrats on the BSI win!!! I haven't participated in BSI in forever, I need to get back into that. And lasagna soup sounds really yummy.
Q: What are you cooking up in the next few days? Anything new? Anything exciting? umm chickpea soup last night, stuffed potatoes tonight, calzones or pizza of some sort tomorrow
Q: Do you like couscous? Do you have a favorite recipe to share? LOVE it. Israeli cous cous is my favorite. I like to use it in this recipe: http://www.itzyskitchen.com/2009/06/green-dog-wine-quinoa-stew-beef-and.html
Aw, sorry you're still not feeling well, Kelly!
Your Mediterranean Wrap looks awesome! I'm a big couscous fan!
Get better soon!
Why does my mouth always end up watering when I read your blog?? That food looks SSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOO good!!! All of it.
I do like couscous, I usually buy the whole wheat one at Trader Joes and add stuff to it to make it more fun.
I am making pasta with a meat sauce tonight. Then hubby will be traveling so I will most likely eat salads and left overs for a few day!
Have you had Israeli couscous? It's like couscous on crack! It's much bigger and thicker. I like this recipe that I made - http://inmytummy.com/2010/11/23/dinner-with-kristy-and-laura/
I hope you feel better soon.
Hope you feel better soon. I do like couscous, but have found myself using quinoa more lately. But couscous has a definite texture difference. i've been lucky and the hubs has been cooking for me late for V-day and then again today b/c I was sick.
Feel better girl....and AGAIN every single recipe here looks DANG AMAZING!!! ;-)
My whole house is down for the count. I'm pretty sure I brought it home from all the snot-nosed children I work with. They are just too cute to keep your hands off of...not that I would know anything about that.
I think I've only had couscous once in my life. I'm a HUGE quinoa fan, so maybe I need to rock the cous sometime.
I made black bean and sweet potato enchiladas for lunch this week. That's about as far as my cooking is going to go! They are deeeelish though!
Hope you feel better asap!
I love couscous! I don't know what it is about it that I like so much but I truly do love it! Your Mediterranean Wrap looks SO good! I hope you start feeling better soon! I was really sick for 2 weeks and I am finally starting to feel better. :)
I love couscous because it cooks so quickly.
That lasagna soup sounds so good!
Hope you feel better SOOOON girl!
Aww I hope you feel better!
Oh my goodness I LOVE COUSCOUS!!! I'm loving all those recipes!
Sending get well wishes your way!
I really need to start planning my dinners out. I keep a bunch of stuff at the office, so I can eat what I feel like during the day. By the time I make it home I end up having something boring or quick to make. Once I move next month I'm going to make dinner planning a goal of mine! Especially since there will also be a hungry man to feed and I don't think that eggs will cut it for him. :)
I'm a fan of couscous too, but haven't made it in a while. I had a great mushroom & gorgonzola risotto the other night though. :)
I love cous cous and most grains as well!
I hope you feel better soon- these winter colds are the worst. I bet that lasagna soup would make great comfort food.
I love cous cous. I like to make it with a bunch of veggies, chickpeas, and lemon juice. Your wrap looks yum?
Is BSI still being passed around from blog to blog? I'd love to particpate.
