Tuesday good vs. bad, New Orange Chicken Recipe

Thanks you guys - I sure tried to stay on top of it during my vacay! My weight has gone down to 123.5 so far - i'll keep moving and stay consistent and hopefully it will come off quickly! Thanks for sharing your tips, too - I admire those of you who continue your workouts just as diligently, even when you're away, and those of you who work EXTRA hard during the week to completely do your own thing on vacay! So I don't know about you, but my Tuesday felt like a Monday. The End. Okay fine, I'll delve into it:

The good: I managed to get in an a.m. workout - I did a 1/4 mile walk, 1 mile run at 6.3 mph, 1/4 mile walk and then 10 minutes on stair climber. HRM said: 29 minutes, 200 calories, 12 fat-burning minutes, 17 fitness minutes, HR 141, max HR 180.

The bad: During my last minute on the stair climber I began to feel lightheaded and my vision kind of blurred. GRRR. This never happens. I think it was a combination of not enough water and not enough sleep - just kind of started crashing - totally freaked me out. I sat down though for a minute and felt 99% better. Scare bear though - has this ever happened to you?

The good: I didn't forget any of my workout stuff - woo!

The bad: I forgot my iPhone. boo - no music.

The good: I got in a workout at lunch - 3.5 mile walk with Stacy! Great to catch up with her and get a walk in.

The bad: I had TONS of work to do and ended up working until 7 and not home until 7:30 - boo.

The good: I came home to a wonderful new recipe, a great family, perfect, cuddly little poodles and your blogs - still playing catch up but enjoying see what you all have been up to. Great end to a good (and bad) day!

Here's a pic of my newest recipe...

Spicy Orange Chicken
Recipe adapted from Cooking Light
Makes 4 Servings

Nutritional Information: 372 calories, 49 carbs, 7 fat grams and 30 protein grams.

Yes - another Asian-inspired winner! The cornstarch made the chicken so thick and juicy - loved that addition, and the sauce got just thick enough to cover the rice and give each bite the sauce's unique flavor- which was citrusy and spicy. I love this recipe and will absolutely make it again. I think it would taste great over an Asian salad too rather than rice! The recipe is over at Healthified Kitchen as usual!

Q: What was good about your Monday?

Q: Have you ever tried orange chicken? What is your favorite Asian-inspired dish?
