So, my first anniversary is coming up quick (February 16... still can't believe it even though I talked about it YESTERDAY). We had every intention to go to Mexico and had it all worked out, but there was a work event I couldn’t miss so we had to forgo the trip. Then house stuff sprung up, and now here we are, less than 2 weeks out, and we’re like “I love you but I’d rather put that 3 G’s toward the house instead of the anniversary.” I myself am more than okay with this and figure we can go back our regular plan of skiing in December and our new plan of going “somewhere tropical” every February starting in 2010 when we’re all settled and cozy in our house and aren’t worrying about it in the back of our minds. That being said, we’re thinking we’ll just go out to a nice dinner to celebrate the first one, and let our house be our anniversary gift to each other. Damn good gift if you ask me! So, in celebration of my pending anniversary with Austin (who it must be said I’ve been dating since we met on the stairs at our apartment complex at Auburn University in September 2001 when we were 19 and 21... we're now 26 & 28...), I’ve decided to post some of my FAVORITE pics from my wedding day, taken by my awesome and talented brother-in-law/photographer Zach Porter.
