No WorkOuts, High Calorie Day.... Grrrr!

Thanks for your comments on your Fall TV Lineups (or lack thereof!) I'm mucho impressed that so many of you don't even watch TV - wowza, and equally pumped that so many of you watch just as much as me- some of you the exact same shows. Yay!! Hope you're all having good Thursdays - mine is great so far! Great eats, awesome workout, good stuff. However...

Yesterday was not a great day, guys! (eats/exercise wise - great on other fronts!) I felt crabby, hungry, tired, just BLAH! I went in and had another of my new chicken sandwiches for breakfast. Good stuff.

inside of muffin... looks better in person - swears!

Then I had a meeting that had plain M&Ms... everywhere. I went for a fun size. Then I had my yogurt and a healthy turkey/wheat/hummus half sandwich.

A little guy but super filling.... didn't even miss the cheese

All good and I’m walking out the door for my 4 miles when we get a call that a co-worker has fainted at a local sandwich shop and is now in an ambulance. She is okay! Thank gawd!! But me and my boss left right then and drove to the ER. I dropped her off then I stayed at my desk to pick her up. By now it’s 2:30 and I’m HUNGRY so I eat lunch and skip my lunch workout. I worked all afternoon and guess what? It sucks not taking a lunch break. I felt bad and had meetings all afternoon so that sucked…. And I began craving chocolate and had tons of little reese’s miniatures. Eek –why?! I had my FiberOne bar but no… not enough! I headed straight home after work (decided to make an off day from working out) and hung out with the family! We even had an outing to Petco for new Reuben toys and puppy pads, and to Kroger for a few key items. Then it was time to cook dinner – chicken picatta! I added mushrooms this time for some extra veggies.

And even though I didn’t need it and wasn’t hungry – I had a Kashi Cookie (they had been on recall and I found them for the first time in MONTHS). Not a great excuse! Haha Then it was time for shows: Glee (LOVE!), SYTYCD (meh… not a big fan of audition episodes) and Melrose from last night (I don’t know… I’ll give it a couple more tries). I ended up at 1,891 calories, 269 carbs, 51 fat grams and 114 protein grams. Here’s what I ate. Too many treats/snacks for sure, especially since I didn’t get in any cardio! But that's okay... today has been better and so far i've walked 3 miles (at 4 mph) and ran 1 mile (at 6.3 mph). I'm going back for another 1.5 miles and some strength training - woo! Dinner's all planned out and so long as I don't self-sabotage with random treats I'm not hungry for I feel good about it! A few questions...
  • What foods do you find it impossible hard to turn down?
  • What's your favorite treat?

Bye, friends - catching up on blogs tonight - yay!!

The chicken picatta with mushrooms sounds delicious!
I can never turn down anything that my grandma makes. And cupcakes are a huge weakness. How can such a tiny little thing be so deathly?! ;)

It is very hard for me to turn down my Mom's no bake cookies (you know the ones with oatmeal, cocoa and peanut butter) and tortilla chips and cheese dip (rotel) is one of my FAVORITE things to eat.

Hmm.. I'm pretty good at turning things down. Unless its wine or garlic bread! Those two are also my favourite treats. I don't keep them in the house on purpose!

Things I can't turn down: any kind of cheese... :)

Glad today is better than yesterday! :)

Mexican, French Fries, Cheese.

Bad I know. I just need to ban the french fries and I would probably lose 5 pounds fast!

Glad your coworker is ok!

I love cereal and Mexican food! I also enjoy chocolate and allow myself to have a piece at lunch to keep me from wanting other crazy things. You'll self-correct from this momentary lapse.

I cannot say no to tortilla chips. Seriously, any kind. And once I start, I can't stop myself. It's so bad.

My favorite treat? Cake, I guess.

Just remember - one bad day won't make a difference in the long run! It's your healthy habits that determine your overall well-being and you've got great healthy habits!

I can't turn down sweets ever! I'm obsessed with chocolate, ice cream, any dessert made with fruit...

Our Kroger always had samples in their Natural Foods section and I ALWAYS have to "taste" at least one thing ;) When I want chocolate I go straight to the Dark Chocolate Dreams by PB and Co...it's Better'N'Midol

It's so hard to say no to people when they offer you food. It took a long time for me to be able to do that. I'm sure I've hurt some feelings along the way, but I always try to be nice!

One thing I don't keep in the house is Oreos - I can't resist those things.

I get majorly crabby when I can't leave the office for a little while during the day! I end more snacky too because I feel so stuck...I totally know how you feel!

But don't worry because YOU ARE gorgeous ;-) Life is good!
