Backing up - Tuesday I felt much better! I walked 4 miles during lunch, then after work I walked 2 miles and me and Stacy did this back and bicep workout.
Afterwards I went home, did laundry, watched TV, hung with Reuben and Austin and read LOTS of Sandra Collin’s Catching Fire. On, on the way home I finished my audio book: Nicholas Sparks’ The Wedding. It was basically a story of a man and wife (the wife being the daughter of Noah and Allie from the notebook) who had grown apart. There kids were grown and they were empty nesters not adjusting well. The book focuses on the man, working hard on himself to try harder, change and be the person he always wanted his wife to end up with. There were a few surprises. It was really very sweet, but sad you know? Definitely was great for all of this bad weather we’ve been having, but I wouldn’t listen if you’re wanting to feel upbeat, you know? Anyway, I’d give it a 3 out of 5. (a few parts were too slow for me; like his incessant chats with Noah). Anywho, I ended up at 1,764 calories, 224 carbs, 49 fat grams and 98 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.
Yesterday was even better! Got lots done at work, walked 5 miles during lunch and headed straight home after work. I made dinner and hung out with mom and Austin, and then Stacy came by to borrow a dress for an upcoming wedding, and to get some jeans. We had so much fun hanging out, then went to a local bar that had free drinks for ladies from 7 to 10. We had a couple of vodka sodas then headed home – great night! I did indulge in some spinach dip – eek. It was just so dang good! When I got home I went straight back to Catching Fire… and finished it. Wow! I started it Saturday and probably only had about 50 pages read, but I’ve poured through the last 350 pages – it was SO good. So Catching Fire was the sequel to Hunger Games – amazing. It’s a story of a girl during a time when (what I presume to be the U.S.) has been broken into districts and is being controlled by the capitol. Each year, there is a draft in each district, and a girl and boy from each of the 12 are sent to an arena to fight to the death – only one victor remains. It’s crazy, but crazy good and very real and just a great, quick read. I HIGHLY recommend – and now I can’t WAIT for the third installment in the trilogy! I give it a 5 out of 5 easy! I ended yesterday at 1,848 calories, 169 carbs, 57 fat grams and 122 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

I'm not sure if I can handle anymore Nicholas Sparks. "The Notebook" made my heart hurt a little too much.
This is really random question, but how do you have time to walk 5 miles during lunch? Can you take long lunches?
