THANK YOU so much for your sweet comments about our dining room! You guys, I had so much fun doing this room. I love inspiration boards and figuring out what to put wear, what makes sense and how to do it on the cheap. Hehe We are having a great time making our home together and can’t thank you enough for your feedback!!
P.S. I included a breakdown of the room per some of your requests! (including costs and where I purchased!)Yesterday was the usual rough Monday – blah. I had some yogurt on the way in, listened to Honeymoon (still SO good!), worked, had a Morningstar farms/egg/fat-free cheese muffin with a laughing cow and dove chocolate. Then I worked more and headed down with Stacy during lunch for 4 miles cardio, burning 184 calories. Then back up, sausage tomato soup, a granola bar, more work and a favorite new snack just before I headed back down to the gym: 1 slice Nature’s Own Whole Wheat bread toasted + Hebrew National Fat-Free Hotdog + mustard + 1 tbsp white onion diced.
Yummy snack, only 97 calories, 2 fat grams, 12 carbs and 3 protein grams. Surprisingly filling! So weird, I used to love these hotdogs then I kind of had a falling out!
Then it was time. Time to try C25K, Workout #5, Day 3. I had been putting it off – how could I go from two 8-minute runs to one 20-minute run? That’s 2 miles straight. I’ve never run 2 miles straight, ever! I got on the treadmill, set my HRM, walked 5 minutes at 4 mph then ran 20 minutes at 6.3 mph. No stopping – just running! It felt great! I got super sweaty towards the end and definitely need a camel back/sports top so I can drink water easier (drank at every 5 minutes) but it went great – woo! I’m going to start Week 6, Day 1 on Wednesday and move on in the program, I’m so glad it’s going well! As far as calories, I burned 150 in 25 minutes getting 2.44 miles… then I walked it out to 30 minutes which got me to 2.77 miles and a 177 calorie burn. Then I was like well…. Let’s get to 3 miles! This ended up taking 33.33 minutes with a 193 calorie burn!!
I raced home excited to tell Austin – he was so happy, too! Then we had beef enchilada casserole and no pudge brownies before shower time and family time. Great night! I ended up at 1,750 calories, 226 carbs, 47 fat grams and 100 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.
Quick Question: When you run, do you drink water? If so, how often? If not, why not?
One more: What’s your favorite pre-run snack? How soon before the run do you have it?
Last but not least - here's the dining room breakdown!original inspiration board

I think that's everything! Adding it up was a little cringe worthy but we did it over time and really - that's a pretty good price for 6 chairs, two tables, two mirrors, 10 frames, an 8x10 rug, accents, a lamp, an overhead pendant, etc. - right? Oh no, am I getting buyer's remorse? haha

First, congrats on that awesome run! Great job!
Second, I LOVE YOUR DINING ROOM!!! It is beautiful and the price is phenomenal!
Congrats on your awesome run!!!! I just started incorporating running intervals into my cardio routine and no my calves hurt everytime I walk, maybe shin splints?? It's been two days and I'm going to get back it tonight so hopefully the pain won't continue, booo :(
The dining room looks amazing! I miss having an IKEA close to me. Word around the campfire is that they are building one by my house...that was a year and a half ago :-/ You have great decor style girl! :)
Love the dining room furniture!
you're quite the thrifty lady! i would have thought that it cost WAY more than that.
are you secretly a designer?
no buyers remorse needed! That room is gorgeous and it wasnt expensive at all. That's it, I'm hiring you when I get a house.
Still loving the colors and designs. How did you put the inspiration board together?
Great run! It's good that you can trust your training and get 'er done!!
Awesome run!!! I *think* I'm going to attempt the two 8 minute runs tomorrow... I'm nervous!
Awesome job on the run! Your dining room looks great- and good job on the bargain shopping!
Great job on the run! My favorite pre-run snack is a slice of toast with jelly, and peanut butter if it's going to be a long run. I also like to drink coffee beforehand if possible, but I usually run at night so it's not. I make sure to drink a lot of water before the run and a lot after, but I don't drink too much while I'm actually running.
Your dining room is beautiful! And I think you got fantastic deals!
Great job on the run!! :) I like those hotdogs too. Brings back childhood memories! ;)
I drink water before and after running, but not during b/c it gives me cramps. Other people love drinking water while running though, guess it's up to the individual.
Congrats on your great run! That's awesome!
I have issues drinking water while running; I always end up spilling all over myself!
It looks like you spent way more money - great job decorating.
Wow - You did a great job on your dining room! I absolutely love it. And the best part is that you did it on a budget and it looks great. WTG!
And there is Krissa at the top of your comments - I miss Krissa.
That's great that you were able to get all of that for that price! And also great about your run!
I drink water when I run. I just sort of drink it whenever I feel thirsty, basically. Sometimes I'll drink a sports drink but they tend to make me gassy. (Sorry, TMI!)
If I'm running first thing in the morning, I'll usually eat an english muffin with pb. If it's not first thing, I usually don't eat beforehand.
omg! i love your blog! i can't wait to keep reading!
i would love it if you could come on over and check out my blog :)
