4 Miles, Hairtool Sadness, Opa!

Thanks, girls! I’m SO excited about my dresses! I wore one last night, one to work today and plan to wear a new one to my sister’s on Saturday. New dresses make the world go round for me – fabulous! Also, thanks for the running feedback. It REALLY wasn’t long ago when a 3-minute run was impossible. A 5-minute run? Not happening. And then it’s like slowly it just builds up and you feel less like you’re going to die and more like you’re going to rule the world. I love it!

So after my during-lunch shopping frenzy on Wednesday, I just worked more then headed home to hang up the new goods, rest and relax – definitely took the day off as my hip flexors and shins needed a break. Listened to my body? Check! I had a nice night and ended up at 1,616 calories, 185 carbs, 43 fat grams and 96 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

Thursday I got lots of work done, walked 4 miles during lunch, and then worked more. We had dinner plans at Taverna Plaka and I was getting ready my blowdryer died. Like, the blowdryer I’ve had for YEARS – like 7+. It just started smelling weird and rattling and before I knew it was bright red inside and SMOKING! OMG! So upsetting. I finished getting ready with Austin’s mini gym blowdryer from 1983, went to Target to get a new onel I went with the Remington 3-in-1 styler... hope it's good! Then we headed down, got in traffic, and were 30 minutes late. Lovely! SO good to see Mary, Scott, Mark, Ruje, Matt & Seema and of course the Greek food was fabulous! The girls did the group Greek dance, we watched others dance on their tables with belly dancers and we tossed lots of napkins. Opa!

Cheeseballs

There is a dangerous side of Greek dancing - our table got hit multiple times and a few ladies knocked over the chair Ruje had been sitting in! Mark was on guard... haha

Meanwhile, Mary, Seema and Ruje were having a fabulous time!

Loves it

Ah yes - who doesn't love this man's makeshift turban? Fab

The ladies (we joked that we all represented a country... but none of them Greece... whereas all of our boys are white as can be!) haha

Mark didn't get the idea of a shot "without the napkins" LOL

We did family style so I had lots of yummy pita triangles, tzatziki, yellow rice, chicken kabobs and more – glorious! Everyone had great news to share – good grades on finals, 10-pound weight loss, 3-mile run – so positive! We left around 10:30, headed home and got in bed – so tired but so ready for the weekend! I ended up at 1,745 calories, 191 carbs, 56 fat grams and 73 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

Q: Do you like Greek food? If so, what’s your fave? I could eat tzatziki with a spoon… and hummus of course.

Q: What’s your “thing” – dresses, coats, shoes, jewelry – what do you love to purchase? I’m a dress girl and winter coats. Bags are okay, shoes can be fun and I rarely partake in jewelry!

I've had my blowdryer die before and it SUCKS. I can remember one time it happened before we were married and it was at Andrew's appt. and he didn't have any back-ups so I had to stand in front of a fan... haha, did not work so well! Blowdryers are hot for a reason!!!! ;)

That greek place looks like so much fun!! I'll have to check it out sometime. I love greek food. Pita and hummus are some of my faves!!

That is funny about the blowdryer thing. My husband has that small old school gross looking blowdryer from back in the day and STILL uses it. Drives me nuts. It looks gross, I'm tempted to toss it. ;) Happy Friday!

What a fun restaurant! And that's awesome you still only ate 1700 cals.. I probably would have gone overboard with all that yummyness! Haha!

I actually don't like buying shoes or dresses. I love buying shirts and tanks though!

I am a total sucker for jeans. I have quite a few pairs that are going to be the best motivation ever for me to get back in shape after the baby. They are like my babies! LOL

I have gone through so many blowdryers its ridiculous. I hope this one works well for you.

I LOVE Greek food! I can't get enough Greek salad action. I love dolmades (stuffed grape leaves) and the warm pitas they give you with hummus. OMG amazing!

I like Greek food a lot but haven't had any in a long time... I do make "my version" of tzatziki quite often though...

What is my "thing?" Not sure I can choose... But I really like "interesting" jewelery. And recently I have been "into" hats... And I love shoes... See, I told you I couldn't choose...

Have a great weekend!
