Book Review, New Vacation Video, 4 Miles

Hola! Thanks for your sweet comments - it really was a great weekend! So glad to hear some of your highlights - sounds like everyone had a pretty fab Halloween weekend and I enjoyed reading your bloggies tonight - although I still have about 20 more to read!!

So this past weekend I accomplished one of my October goals - make a video! This video documents our May 2010 visits to Punta Cana and New York City. Hope you enjoy! I had fun making it. Now i'm working on our May (other events), June and July compilation - GOOD TIMES. I hope to get caught up on video making soon!

Other than the video - i've been reading! Here's one of my book reviews, this one for Karin Slaugter's Undone, which I finished up last Tuesday. So for those who follow her books, there were basically two "series" if you will - one that focused on Sarah, a pediatrician/ in a small town in Grant County, Georgia, married to a police officer, and the other on Will, a special agent in Atlanta. Well this book merged the two storylines, in a very smart, clever way (who doesn't heart a crossover?) and now it seems there will only be one "series" - the Georgia Series. I for one am thrilled. Anywho, this book, like Karin's other books, is a total page turner whodunit. I flipped through it so fast and enjoyed every minute of it. I will say that this one was particularly gruesome... but it still made for a great story with, as usual, a surprise ending. Highly recommended (but of course i'd suggest you read the series from the beginning - starting with Blindsighted or Triptych - both the first books in the Grant Park and Will Trenton series). Check out her books here in case I confused you! If you like mysteries you will not be disappointed - nice mix of thriller with a great storyline and characters I actually cared about enough to be frustrated with but still go back to reading.

And on to today, it was a standard Monday: running late, work, walked 4 miles during lunch with Stacy, home to Austin and the pups, made some meals (6 servings of Italian Pasta Bake and 4 Servings of Farfalle Ricotta Bake) and called it a night - not too shabby!

Q: How was your Monday?

Q: What is your favorite thing about November? I'm excited about seeing family and having some time off to celebrate Thanksgiving!

I am excited that it is finally starting to cool off in SW Florida. I'm looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving and cooking with my girls this year. They are both finally into helping! LOVE the video!!

The video is so cute! I love it. You guys always look like you're having so much fun together. Toes in the sand...one of the best feelings. A Farfalle Ricotta Bake? I can't wait to see the recipe for this bad boy. Monday was pretty good- work, workout, house work, made an awesome cauliflower soup din din. Favorite thing about November? Definitely time with family at thanksgiving

I am so curious how you like listening to books, versus reading them? I love curling up a physically reading, but I see he potential to simply listening. P.s. Remy is adorable:)

My Monday wasn't too shabby. Got in a great workout and am feeling ready to tackle the week.

For November, I'm looking forward to the five day weekend I'm going to get for Thanksgiving. Not really looking forward to the food (being a vegetarian at Thanksgiving is not that fun) but looking forward to the family.

And thanks for the triple comment on my blog yesterday...haha. :)

Love the video!

My Monday was pretty good, except for work being super stressful!

You make me want to go back to Punta Cana for our honeymoon so bad! We're taking a trip for our 5 year anniversary. I'm having such a hard time deciding - cruise for tropical location or one of the many US cities I've never been to and want to see.

Thanks for sharing about the author. I'm always in the market for something new to read. It's so hard to believe it's already November!

Awesome! My Monday consisted of running errands for hours. Got home late but still managed to put together a decent dinner. It is a recipe you might like as it does freeze well and you could portion it into freezer containers after making the chicken enchilada casserole. No rolling enchiladas involved!

I got laundry caught up, talked to me daughter who is in Spain. Talked to my mom who lives in another State and did some catching up on blogs.

I am on a break at work and can't watch videos - poo!

I'll watch it tonight.

I love the crisp November air - and starting yesterday, one radio station already starts Christmas music!

Yep, don't mind listening to it too early!

I love many things about November: Thanksgiving, sweaters, the return of red cups at Starbucks, scarves, Holiday Sales, reading under blankets, etc.

Hope you had a good Tuesday girl!
