So today, bummed foot and all, I decided it was time to go shoe shopping. I blame the Lucky magazine the Hue store gave me last week. So I knew I wanted (1) black slouchy mid-calf boots and (2) black round toe t-strap oxford-like pumps. Originally I had found these and wanted them…. BAD.They were $80 (before $15 shipping)… and I had found a pair of black slouchy boots at Bakers Shoes for $130… However, the Lucky had a well-placed DSW ad that got me thinking I should go there first. What luck! I found boots just like the Bakers ones (but $75 cheaper!) and I found the black t-strap pumps for $60 – no shipping! Yay!
So I bought them both… and yes, everyone stared at me like a dummy for hobbling around in a medical boot while shoe shopping… But whatever – I got BOTH pairs for less than the price of the Baker’s boots – double score! Now I need to get clothes to go with them… and it needs to get cold… and my foot needs to heal. SIGH.
