Day 122 and 123: Back on Track

So, with these days being Friday and Saturday, they had a lot of potential for eating and drinking excessively. Sigh. However, I figured we had our weekend during the week, and we were exhausted, so we laid low this weekend. Friday I did make it back to the gym – but only for 2 more miles and abs – couldn’t do legs! Friday night me and Austin just hung out, cooked chicken “fried” rice for dinner and watched movies. I also worked on my home blog a lot – specifically one of my future guest rooms! GREAT night! Oh update on house stuff: I reached out and set up appointments for 5 home rentals in the area and was SUPER excited to see them. At the end of the day, I had 1,473 calories, 201 carbs and 33 fat grams. Here’s what I ate.

Saturday I woke up exhausted – I couldn’t sleep because I was so excited about houses! I weighed 118 – yesss – no more 119.5! (:))Long story short: it ended up being an awful day, the houses were bad, they failed to photograph the wood paneled, wallpapered rooms and 70’s appliances, etc. It was super discouraging and made me very upset. Austin dropped me at home after our viewings and headed to the mall (had to get some stuff for his trip – he’s leaving for Mexico until Thursday). I preceded to lay in bed and feel sorry for myself. I skipped the gym and snacked. Sigh. I finally dragged myself out of bed at 8 and cooked pizza muffins, and me and Austin watched a few episodes of 30 Rock (so cute!), played pool and drank wine. It ended up being a great night. I also got some fabulous advice from my mom/sister and feel optimistic about the whole process again. Yay!! I ended up at 1,481 calories, 184 carbs and 35 fat grams. Here’s what I ate.

Today is going well so far! I’m at 118 like yesterday and I plan to spend the day working on decorating my future home! I’m just feeling it so it’s nice to get organized! I am sad though – Austin flies out soon. I hate when he goes away!! Especially since I’m never really alone in this loft so it makes me feel more alone when I am. At least I have little Reuben to keep me company (and seasons 1-4 of Heroes on demand). I also have Mamma Mia and House Bunny on the way via NetFlix (Austin suggested I put “girl” movies at the top of the que).

Sorry to hear that the house hunt didn't go as planned! Keep your chin up - something will work out sooner than later. I actually have house hunting on my schedule for this afternoon - wish me luck!

PS. Love 30 Rock!

HK: hehe I was like "I can't believe i'm renting this." I told myself it was okay because it was created by the same as those who created legally blonde! haha I hope I like it to!!

Sar: Thanks so much - I hope so! oooh Good Luck! It was our first time seeing it and we both thought it was hilarious!

FMW: Thanks - they are! Sometimes it just takes a different perspective to solve a problem (i.e. we can put the pool table in a single garage and rent a townhouse - would have never thought of it!). ha - i'm so bad about keeping up with NetFlix - it's all Austin!

I just found your blog and love it. So down to earth. My blog is not a food blog, but of all the one's I read...I think I like your's best...especially because you dig Gossip Girl and because I'm trying to lose weight to "fit back into" all my clothes again, too...before my wedding, hopefully!

Thanks!

Oh, too bad about the houses. It's amazing how photographs can mislead you into thinking something's much nicer than it is.

Good luck on the house hunt and on every thing else too!

Thanks, Neesha! You're so sweet. :) Oh yes - Gossip Girls is a staple of mine! Really i'm just a TV person - I love nothing more than watching a show from start to finish!! haha I hear you! I, unfortunately, was not able to 'fit back in' before my wedding - and looking back I don't know that it would have been possible. I guess It's back to my first post - I kind of have to be 100% committed to something for it to work. Boo. I'm off track - thanks again for your kind comment!

Crabby: OMG you're not lying! It's just wild the lengths some people went to to hide things that were so blatant upon arrival. It's like they WANT to waste their time, especially those who made a special trip to meet us only to have us say wow... this isn't what we anticipated. Sad. Thanks for your support! :)

i know how you feel about the house - it's hard to find the perfect fit and something that isn't ghetto to boot.

i'm impressed that you have managed to keep your weight down over the holidays! good going!

Hey! booo about the house hunting! TRY not to stress ( i know, way easier said then done...) The Market is in your favor now, so once you find the perfect pad it will be a piece of cake. My best advice is to not settle and search on :) Lucky for Austin he's prob in the sun and 85 degree weather now...if you're bored give call and we'll play!

Eurydice: Exactly – ghetto is RIGHT! haha Thanks so much – it was funny. I had more time to work out, but I ate worse. I think it evened out!

Mary: I know it – blah. You’re right – I’m definitely ready – just can’t wait and I’m not patient…. At all! Haha I know – I’m super jealous of Austin in Mexico. He called earlier when I was at Kroger to see what I was doing. I was like I’m in Atlanta, it’s raining, I’m in workout clothes at Kroger – what are YOU doing?! Haha Thanks, Mary – will do. If you do anything tomorrow night call me!!
