Day 179: February Assessment, “Grilled” Wraps, & a Mini Book Review

Seriously? It’s snowing in Atlanta. Crazy town. We got up to cereal/milk and worked on the grocery list/meal plan for the week! It’s a weird week because we both have bachelorette/bachelor parties this weekend – so we’ll see how we do – eek! I headed out – in the snow – to Kroger and got everything on the list. I got home and Austin cooked shrimp scampi, and then our friends Kelly/Ryan from out of town came by! They were in town for a wedding, and are getting married themselves in December so Kelly had an appt. with Priscilla of Boston! We headed over at 3 p.m. and I got my BM dress for my friend Monica’s wedding, and Kelly tried on some of the most beautiful Melissa Sweet wedding dresses – WOW!
I also ran into my co-worker Micki trying on dresses for her wedding – fun! While me and Kel didn’t like her assigned dress helper person (at all), it was a great visit and I got to see some of her favorites, and she added a new one to her growing list of favorites – FUN! We got back to my place at 5 and it was time for them to get on the road back to Birmingham. Boo. After they left I made a new treat!! A turkey/roast beef/FF may/FF HM wrap! Daily Goods always makes these fabulous wraps and they have “burn marks” – ooh! I found a George Foreman in the cabinet, plugged it in, and within 3 minutes was eating a fab wrap alongside some kettle chips- YUM! And it only had 239 calories and 5 fat gramd for the tortilla, 6 slices turkey, 3 slices roast beef, 1 slice FF swiss and some FF mayo & FF honey mustard – yay! Afterwards I had a chips ahoy 100 calorie think crisps pack – loves.

I did very little for the next few hours – YAY- just messed around on the Internet, watched bad TV and chilled. Then I realized it was getting late… which put me in a mood. Blah. I got up and cooked a bunch for the week (with Austin’s help :)). For dinner we made “drunk food” – breaded chicken tenders (from the parmesan chicken recipe) and sweet potato fries with ketchup – SO GOOD! I had a favorite food ‘food day’ – awesome. I ended up at 1,691 calories, 224 carbs and 27 fat grams. Here’s what I ate. I did stay up too late though – finished up the cute, cute ‘How to be Popular’ by Meg Cabot. It was a super quick, super light read – but definitely worth the read and a GREAT treadmill read (large print, short chapters, easy-to-follow, etc.). I recommend! I’m not starting a new book, Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher. Oh – I almost forgot – my February Monthly Assessment!! Bear with me – February was not my best month. :(

February Weight

February Calories

Yay! I’m proud of my weight maintenance and getting in my 84 miles even though it was a short month! Also – I’m glad I hit my 113, even though it was only once!! Let’s see how I went against my goals…

February Goals

1. Have 7 or less high nutrition days (1,600 – 2,400). I ended up going by different calories – making 1,500 – 1,700 my goal. Therefore, I only had 7 days ABOVE 1,700 – not too bad! And only two days over 2,000 calories! DONE

2. Try Body Pump at least once. Didn’t happen… I suck. I just need to wait on classes until everything is more settled I think.

3. Take pictures of what I eat at least 3 days/week. I think this is just not for me. I think the girls who do this are AMAZING, but I’m just bad at it! Maybe later… but for now I’m no good!

4. Get down to 113 by the end of the month. DONE. Just once though!

5. Do 84 miles of cardio DONE (and not a mile over)

6. Introduce 3 new recipes DONE (yum, yum, yum)

7. Update the home blog 4 days/week. DONE it’s been so fun for me!

8. Read two books. Only finished 1 – still have to finish Body Surfing! I’ll move this over to next month, cant’ give up on the reading – it relaxes me too much!

9. Take back stuff we don’t want or donate it. In progress!

10. Buy a house – fo’ real! In progress!

11. Organize my recipes, print them out and put them in a binder in the drawer by the fridge. Need/want to do – am going to move this to next month.

12. Organize my meal plans, print them out and create ‘grocery lists’ for each week. DONE but want to do a little bit more organized so I can pick a week and have the list ready! YAY! Will move this to March – but only to get 2 weeks done. Will try for two in April, too.
Based on these, here are March goals!

March Goals

1. Have 7 or less days over 1,700 calories.
2. Weigh 113 five days this month.
3. Walk 84 miles.
4. Introduce 3 new recipes.
5. Update the home blog 5 days/week.
6. Read 2 books.
7. Take back the rest of the stuff we don’t want/need.
8. Buy a house/pack!
9. Organize recipes; print them out and bind them.
10. Organize 2 weeks of meal plans; print them out and make grocery lists for each.
I'll go drop these in the sidebar now! I'm already worried about March - if the house works out we need to pack... and I have two weekend Bachelorette parties, and a weekend back in Alabama for a shower. That leaves me with only one weekend in town... I know i'll work it out and am trying not to get anxious but that's ROUGH if we have to pack/move in there, too - eek! May just need to take off work a day or two to keep my sanity.... hmmm.

Oh! I'm so excited! My dress is a Melissa Sweet dress...though I don't know which one yet. One is called Saffron and the other is called Aurora. Did she try either of those??? I love her dresses...they're so pretty and carefully done. Amazing!

sweetandfit: Thanks! That's so nice - and of course!! I need to add you to mine, too. :)

neesha: she tried on Lucy & "Lucy's older sister" and I want to say Joelle?! That could be wrong - dang! :( I just looked up the two you named - stunning! Would you do the tie around your neck in Aurora or not? Kelly changed a lot of the tops (making them sweetheart instead of straight, etc.)
