Boutique Sale, C25K, Buddy in Town, New Clothes!

You guys!! I SO loved reading your thoughts on obligation freaks: good or bad?! Sounds like we agree that it can go either way, and it sounds like a lot of us in the bloggiesphere are obligation freaks!! I think I’m going to focus more on doing things when I want to vs. because-i-said-i-would and see what happens! Thanks for your feedback. :) Also, YUM - your taco salad toppings sound fab. I'm definitely adding guac and/or jalapeños next time. Thanks, chicas!

So yesterday was a lovely day because I work from home on Thursdays – woo! I got lots of work done, did a load of laundry, cooked Curry (on the stove), Taco Soup (in the slowcooker) and had another taco salad for lunch. Nom nom nom. After work I headed to the gym to walk 4 miles. Instead I walked 3 miles, then did C25k Week 1 Workout #4! I ended up getting 4.75 miles in during 1 hour and 6 minutes, burning 253 calories – great workout!! I felt super hyper and great when I got done, and headed home to easy Thai curry for dinner, a quick shower, got ready to Make it Break it and then me and Austin were off to 5 Seasons Brewery to meet our friend Mike!

He used to work with me/live in Atlanta – but then moved to Charleston with his ADORABLE and sweet then girlfriend/then fiancé and now wife Mary! (when we met them we were all dating; then we all got engaged around the same time; then we all got married around the same time!) We haven’t seen him since his wedding – WAY too long ago, so it was great to catch up! And our friend Lolo (still my co-worker!) came too. We hung out, had a few drinks, played pool and had a great time.

Austin, Mike and Lolo - crazy boys

Good times!!

Yes, we made fun of Mike for carrying his wife's Vera Bradley luggage that he took it upon himself to put on my coat and carry my purse around the bar.

I had 3 glasses of wine. Lush much? (I recorded them as 4 because I think he was overserving). We went to sleep at midnight – WAY too late for me. But it was a great night! The only thing that would have made it better is if Mary had been in town, too – boo! I ended up at 1,702 calories, 192 carbs, 30 fat grams and 95 protein grams. Not bad! Especially since I had 280 calories in wine! Haha Here’s what I ate.

Today I popped up, had a diet mountain dew and headed in to the office! I got lots of work done, but instead of working out during lunch Stacy had to go to the tag office for her title or some shiz. Yes, I could have worked out, but I remembered that I needed to go to the tag office, too, for a new copy of my registration (also didn’t have that when I got pulled over Monday!). I headed to the tag office and the line was wrapped around the lobby to outside. Um, no. PIVOT. And I was off to Trader Joe’s for some groceries and then Fabrik, my FAVORITE Atlanta boutique. They’re prepping for the boutique sale!!!! For those that don’t know: this is the HUGE Atlanta boutique sale held twice per year in January and July where 20+ boutiques get together in a warehouse in Atlantic Station and set up booths and sell FABULOUS designer clothes/shoes/etc. at discounted prices. Learn more here. My last sale during summer 2009 was documented here. Such wonderfully good times! This year I’ll be going for some more designer jeans, more coats and hopefully some fun dresses or scarves… and maybe a bag… and maybe a pair of fun boots. I’m also LOVING corduroy skinny pants… so maybe some more of those, too! Anywho I can’t wait!!

So I’m at Fabrik who is having a “preview” of their clothes! (yes, they sent me an email and I came like it was an engraved invitation – love it). Jeans were half off, stuff was on $20, $30 and $40 racks – the works. I got a pair of Blank brown corduroy pants, an A is for Audrey funky dress – my first springtime item - and a BB Dakota navy coat - LOVE! The best part? I got 2 $50 gift cards for Christmas and the sale made it $30, $30 and $40 so I only paid $11! Here’s some photogs:

Love it!!

Who DOESN'T want a detachable hoodie??!

Love these pants. Although I plan to wear a top with mine...and stuff the bottoms in boots rather than chunky open-toed footwear.

Sorry - couldn't find a pic of the dress online! LOVE IT though - it's black/white vertical pin stripes on bottom in case you can't tell! Love the back too - fave!

I ended up working late - goo. Got home at 6:30 and am now chilling with Austin - about to go have dinner and watch a movie!! What are you doing tonight?

I love 5 Seasons!! That's where Andrew and I went for our first wedding anniversary dinner back in November!! :) That pic of your friend and his wife's bag is too funny, haha!

Cute clothes!! You sure did get a fabulous deal!!

Have a great weekend!! :)

Your comment about the tag office had me cracking up! I hate all those long lines...just move up a couple of exits on 400 and you won't have them! I can walk in and out of the tag office in 5 minutes, but the DMV is another story!

Um, thanks for the heads up for the boutique sale! My fashion does not usually go past Target, but when I can score good deals on nicer things I'm there!

Ohmgosh. Those clothes are gorgeous, esp the little coat. I'm in danger when it comes to sale. Must. Resist.

When you said that you counted your wine as 4 glasses instead of 3 b/c you were overserved, I couldn't help but think of my roommate's boss. Whenever he goes into work hungover, he just says that he was "overserved" the night before!

Thanks for the tip on the sales... I've never been to that event but it sounds totally worthwhile!

Some how I've stumbled upon you adorable blog here. First off, it freaked me out for a minute because I have the same background on mine. Second, I went to Auburn (forever ago) and see you're a fan, too! Love that!!! Third, that jacket is the cutest ever!! Hope you had a great weekend!
