My Bachelorette Party, Recovery Day, Drop Dead Diva

Sounds like most of us have had some Bachelorette Party fun! And homecookedem - there is NO such thing as a "lame" bachelorette party, missy!! Yours sounds like a wonderful time! I firmly believe they are designed to be what the bachelorette/bride to be wants. For me, I wanted to see all of my besties in one place. My sister offered her home and we got together Friday night an evening of PJs, wine, Sex and the City and slumber party. The next day we hit up the boutique sale! (of course!). Then that night we ordered in pizza (since I really dislike going out to eat!), we took our time getting ready/doing each other's make-up and trying on dresses, and then they through me a lingerie shower and we took a cab to a club. We danced, we laughed, we cried, we snuck into VIP and we basically ran around this club having an absolute blast. The next day we slept in, said our good byes, then me, my sister, and my bestie in town from DC had a mexican lunch + a matinée of 27 Dresses. LOVELY weekend. I enjoyed remembering that! This is what I wrote on my Facebook album description back in 2008: I had the best BP ever and WAY too much fun with the best girls ever! The snow was random, but shopping in the snow, the boutique sale, the fun lingerie shower, the nonstop good music and OMG I haven't laughed so much in 48 hours ever made up for the potentially dangerous icey road that took us to and from the club - LOVED IT! Here's a few pics...

group shot minus Megan - she was getting some guy to get us shots. Love her.
Bare legs in January snow - genius.
Free shots from strangers = love
I'm happy to be there
shot from the night before's PJ party at my sister's casa
I met a giant - we sang a song together
LOVED that song - I believe it was livin' on a prayer. Remixed i'm sure.
We danced...
We partied in vip...
We loved the space...
We were silly in VIP...
We hugged it out...

Ah memory lane. Back to yesterday AKA recovery day. I just worked. During lunch I wanted to work out but felt like a zombie. Instead, me and Stacy hit up P.F. Chang. After work I headed home and made dinner with Austin & Reuben. I made a new curry recipe. YUM. I'll have to post it tomorrow! Then I got in bed and watched Drop Dead Diva with Reuben and hung out with Austin! Not a bad Monday at all! I ended up at 1,632 calories, 217 carbs, 46 fat grams and 82 protein grams. Here's what I ate.

Q: Ever eat at chinese restaurants? If so, what do you get? I got the citrus soy salmon and white rice. The salmon had NO sauce on it though. Instead of asking I just tossed some soy sauce on it and called it a meal!

Q: What is your ideal girl's weekend?! I don't think I would have done mine any different! Love to shop. Love to dance. Loved being with my besties!

Haha, it didn't feel lame at the time, but now when I read all the fabulous recaps of other bachelorette parties I'm amazed at all the planning and details involved! ;) Your BP looks like a blast - the first night sounds similar to mine!! And your hair was so long!! Love it!! Glad you have such good memories of it!! :)

I agree with you on the girl's weekend - nothing better than just doing "girly" things!!! Love the bachelorette throwback pictures! Makes me want to look up mine!!

So fun! I love the dress you wore!

I don't normally like eating Chinese out, but I do like PF Chang's and Pei Wei since it doesn't taste as salty.

Aw, looks like so much fun! I love how smiley you were- looks like such a blast :)

I rarely go to Chinese but I love PF Changs and go maybe once every 6 months.

Girls weekend faves are shopping, silly movies, and book stores.

What a fun time... your pictures are great.

I just had a lovely wine tasting weekend with two of my dear friends - it was awesome.

Your bachelorette looks like it was fun. Were you in Atlanta?

I like to get the lettuce wraps at PF Changs. Or sometimes I get the Buddha's delight. I've gotten it steamed and it's really bland, so I usually get it stir-fried. I think it's only like 100 more calories.

What a fun bachelorette party! I loved the two that I had also! My DC friends took me out to a bar and then out dancing afterwards. In Atlanta, since it was closer to the wedding, we went to melting pot, played some fun games, chatted and then went back to one of my bridesmaid's houses where we had a lingerie shower, played more games and had more drinkies. So fun!

Ideal girls weekend could be many things: going to the beach is so much fun. I also love camping and hiking with my girlfriends. Or, there's going out to dinner, getting froyo and wondering a bookstore. Ha ha, now I need some girl time!

So how did your mom do it? Were you a little Kelly? I don't know how these women with kids do it. I doubt they have the option to go hang out with their families like I do. Ugh! It's never easy, but then again, no one ever said it would be! Thanks for your sweet comment!
