Cooking Marathon, New Pasta Bake Recipe, New Year's, Kinect

Thanks you guys!! I appreciate your feedback on my tips and for providing your own! I'm all about being more productive and organized in 2011 - I just love that often when you organize something, put a process in place or establish a specific place for something - you save SO much time in the future! Backing up to Thursday which was really just work and cooking. Here is what the results looked like:

And here is one of the new recipes:

Friday was just work for a few hours then they let us off at noon! So I headed to Macy's to get some prezzies for Dane (my soon-to-be nephew!), and picked up 4 Lacostes for Austin - GREAT sale. Then I headed home, had lunch and got ready for New Year's. We met at Stacy's at 6 p.m., had yummy appetizers then an awesome pasta bake she made - SO good. We had a few drinks then headed to Vintage, a bar near their home. We stayed up/out WAY too late, but had a great time ringing in the new year and I was SO happy to see that Reuben and Remy did so well with Stacy and Shane's puppers! Here are some pictures from the evening!

Saturday we got up early and headed back home. I had definitely overserved myself. No doubt. Boo. We stopped at Best Buy on the way home and got another xBox 360 and Kinect - so now I have one in the bedroom too - YAY! Anywho, the rest of the day was spent at home with the family, watching movies, napping and finalizing our resolutions. Wonderful first day of the year.

Q: Do you have an xBox 360? Austin is a total gamer, always has been. I play every once in a while, love rock band drumming and anything that involves dancing!! I hope to get some dancing games for Kinect!

Q: Did you have a great new year's? I really did - we always enjoy a night out with our friends!

Tomorrow i'm posting my new year's resolutions - or really just my 2011 to-do list! I can't wait to get started on it. Oh who am I kidding? I'll probably get it started today!!

I'm always amazed at your big cooking days :) The Mac n Cheese looks so YUM! The little tiny new years hat is HILARIOUS. Looks like y'all had a blasty. We did as well- it was very low key. We do have an xbox360! Josh likes to play when he finds time. Happy New Year!

I love your cooking days! And I plan on pre-cooking more this year! I used to do this, but somehow I stopped doing it. Life is so much easier when you are prepared!

Happy 2011!

Your organizational tips are really helpful, I just read them. I am the worst at organizing.

That pasta bake looks really good too. I think Jason would like it. I'm bookmarking it to make this week.

Sounds like a great new year's!! I've never been a big video game person, but I love my Wii- which reminds me, I should play more often!!

Ryan is a gamer too. He occasionally lets me kill people in his games. Heh! I can't wait to get a Kinect! It will probably be the first thing we purchase when he's home! I'm also glad we aren't the only ones with multiple xboxs. He seriously came home from Iraq and we had 3. Boys...

I love your pre-portioned food. You are inspiring me to cook a batch and do the same. I didn't make an official New Year's resolution but that's what I want to do for 2011, to be more organized with my cooking.

The hat pictures with the boys are funny! Too much indeed.

Happy New Year girly!

I'm not that big into New Year's--I'd rather just be sitting around in my sweats. Hahaha.

And I've never played the X-box either. The controller looks too complicated...
