A Day in My Life As a Stay-At-Home Mom

Here is a snapshot of a pretty standard weekday around here, with iPhone pics! Now some days are different, obviously - we'll have a lunch or playdate, or we won't go to the gym, or we'll do grocery store/errands instead of cooking/laundry. Some days I feel like I'm doing too much, other days I feel like i'm not doing enough. But, for the most part, this is a typical day, and below is our day today!

6:30 a.m.: Up with Austin to see him off, take the pups out, brush teeth, have a cup of coffee, make a huge glass of ice water, make/warm Beckett's bottle, make the bed - everything is now ready for Becks!

7 a.m.: Wake Beckett up - time for Bottle #1 and activities until 8 a.m., then Solids at 8 a.m. - Oats and Peaches!
She loves her Boo Boo the gosling book; I usually send pics like this to Austin throughout the day. Here Beckett told him that Boo Boo likes grapes as much as he does
8:30 a.m.: Beckett goes down for her morning nap - time to eat breakfast, make a meal, do dishes/load/start dishwasher, start a load of laundry and get ready for the gym (get dressed, put on HRM, load car with my water, Becks' bottle and diaper bag, etc.)
Today I made this Skillet Chili Mac
10:30 a.m. Wake up Beckett, change clothes and head to the gym! Beckett goes to the Infant Room for her 11 a.m. Bottle #2 and playtime, and I headed to a strength training class!
Surprised to have burned this much during ST, but all the push ups and walking lunges had me sweating it. Great full-body workout!
12 p.m. Class is over - time to go get this little diva home for Solids - this time, apples followed by butternut squash! (when I got her she was having a ball in a bumbo chair playing with links with Shannon, her favorite person there!).
Austin captioned this photo: "This carseat isn't going to drive itself home, Mom."
1 p.m. Beckett goes down for her afternoon nap - time for me to eat lunch, shower, turn over laundry, clean bottles, make tomorrow's breakfast and coffee, prepare Beckett's food for the next day (drop her already made and frozen into ice cube fruits and vegetables from the freezer into bowls/into fridge) and make progress on a To-Do: Finalizing Beckett's '6 - 9 month activities' - must get this done, baby girl is 6 months old in just a few days!
Two of my favorite sources for building Beckett's lesson plans!
3 p.m. Wake Beckett up again (assuming she isn't already rolling around or doing tummy time in her crib LOL). Time for Bottle #3, activities, and her third and final Solids attempt at 4 p.m. - this time more butternut squash and a sippycup of formula.
Happy Beckett - she is always happiest coming off of a nap. In fairness, who isn't?!
5 p.m. Beckett takes her third and final nap of the day - but this one is just a short catnap. In the 45 minutes she sleeps I normally check the mail, pay any bills that have come in, clean up downstairs, unload the dishwasher, and make another meal. During all of the other tasks I threw together a curry!
Easy lunches for later in the week!
5:45 p.m. Austin gets home! We hang, switch out his lunchbox with a new breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc.; switch out his gym clothes for clean ones, pet the puppers and then we get Beckett up for family time! This usually involves laying on the floor with Beckett and her toys and making her laugh. Typically with a Jeopardy on!
Becks is always super happy to see her dad! She wakes up from her last nap and he is there - big smiles all around. I snapped this photo of him clipping her nails
6:30 p.m. Bath time! Austin always gives Becks her bath, and me and the poodles get the bath going, heat the final bottle, put out pajamas and put on some Baby Bach.
Beckett loves bath with Dad!
7 p.m. After bath, she gets her last bottle, #4, as well as a story. We're currently going through one of Austin's childhood Disney books - tonight's story was Pinocchio. I read, Austin feeds her. When she's done we burp her, say the 'It's Time for Bed' book and put her to sleep for the night.

7:30 p.m. Time for Reuben & Remy's dinner as well as ours! We eat whatever I've already made - tonight was the Skillet Chili Mac! We pretty much hang, blog, watch TV, read, whatever. Tonight - a new episode of The Newsroom - LOVE this show!
With that, i'm off! I hope you all had great Mondays - I enjoyed putting this together - I really am loving my days here at home with Beckett and the pups supporting the family!
