1,000 Miles Down, New Year’s Eve, Lazy Day, Sad News

So I’m definitely excited to say that I walked my 5.5 miles yesterday to officially hit my 1,000 miles for the year! WOO!! Austin calculated and this means that I was on a treadmill for 15,000 minutes or 250 hours or 10.4 days. That being said, this was time spent reading wonderful books, watching SATC, chatting it up with Stacy/Sue/Mom/peeps on the phone and listening to playlists. Not too shabby! And yes, all 1,000 miles (except for maybe 4 when I was in Auburn with Teresa?) were walked indoors on a treadmill. Take that grass allergy – you’re not stopping me! I also just realized I didn’t post Wednesday’s stats – here they are! 1,616 calories, 198 carbs, 36 fat grams and 93 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

After the 5.5 miles I slow-cooked spaghetti, packed up and me, Austin, Stacy and Shane were off for Athens. Teresa and Forrest met us there and we all hung out, had a few drinks, had dinner then took to the bars!! We went to several, and each time we got in one they would get PACKED. Boo. We did have the space to celebrate around midnight, and it was great to be with great friends - awesome group!!! After midnight we met up with Austin’s bro/his GF, Austin’s cousin/her BF and Austin’s co-worker, Matt and his GF and friends. Good times fo sho, but I stayed up too late and drank too much. Shocker. So yes, today has been r. o. u. g. h. I ended up at 2,340 calories, 24 fat grams, 222 carbs and 100 protein grams. Here’s what I ate.

Here's some photogs! Slightly out of order - eek!!

Today I got up, bummed around with the crew, slowly packed, then drove us home.
Mom and Reuben met us out front. Hehe He just loves her so much! We chatted with mom, had some “fried” rice, then she headed out and we bummed around. Later we ordered pizza and slept on and off like two slackers. This was pretty much the first day of 2010 for us – we’re losers right? Sigh.

I did want to tell you guys Austin got some sad news today – his grandmother has passed away. A visitation will be tomorrow with a funeral on Sunday. Austin will once again be a pallbearer. My heart seriously hurts for their family and for his grandfather Audie. They’ve been married for 55 years. She’s 70… They met when they were 13 and have built a huge, wonderful family together. They were such an energetic couple. Always running around, traveling, hitting up the lake, attending the boys’ football games, etc. Very sad…. Everyone seems to be doing okay. Austin’s brothers are staying with us tonight to give Audie some space with just Austin’s parents. They're actually on the way here now so i'm signing off! I hope you all had lovely new year's eves and that you're all enjoying your first day of 2010!!

Great job with the 1,000 miles!

I'm so sorry to hear about both deaths, that's a lot for one family to take, especially during the holidays.
